Your favorite older games?
Archive: 19 posts
So lately, i'v been loading my PSP up with some older games, Legend of Dragoon, FF7-9, Secret of Mana. Since I own all the original disks, I just made an eboot file out of them which runs on the PSP (:. Right now i'm on Secret of Mana, and I oddly enough never actually played this when I was younger. I'v had the game itself for SO many years, but it was a game I never played (which I regret because, it's awesome). I love playing games back from my generation which was the NES-PSX generation, so I still have all my consoles, like the Sega Master System, SNES, Sega, etc. What games from your guys' generation do you love? | 2011-02-02 10:19:00 Author: oNinjaFisho Posts: 67 |
I grew up on Nintendo so Pokemon, Super Mario 64, Banjo and Kazooie...All the classics... I was born at the exact right time | 2011-02-02 10:22:00 Author: Hellobob5 Posts: 382 |
I started playing secret of mana myself on the psp a few months ago. Got about half way through and stopped but I think I should finish it. I still have the original game in the box with the map. One of my favourites. | 2011-02-02 11:15:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
Oh wow... i started with the Master System. Good games back then. Loved Wonderboy and Alex Kidd. My fav older Game is Shining Force for the Sega Mega Drive (Sega Genesis in US). Still love it and play it sometimes. Chrono Trigger for SNES was awesome. I played it so often to see all the different Endings. And on Psx....hmmm....Chrono Cross and Xenogears i think. Great RPGs and not available in Germany. So i imported them. Loved the Suikoden and MGS Series too. I wish for a new part of Suikoden. They are epic in Storytelling. So sad and dramatic. | 2011-02-02 12:14:00 Author: DeKay1980 Posts: 183 |
Elite (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_(video_game)) The first game I ever played... and probably still the best game I've ever played. Nothing has matched it before or since for scope or freedom... which I'm actually very dissapointed about | 2011-02-02 12:38:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |
I miss the golden days of gaming. I'm so happy I still have my N64. To me, that was the peak of gaming. It never got better than that. All these, new fangled PS12's and Xbox 720's. Motion controllers and cameras. And two analog sticks?! IT'S OUT OF CONTROL! | 2011-02-02 22:35:00 Author: oNinjaFisho Posts: 67 |

Man, i loved al FPS games back when N64 was a still popular, NOW look at them, most of them require online to play. | 2011-02-02 22:49:00 Author: Joshofsouls Posts: 1569 |

Ah, Inan, you like Banjo? Loved those two games, Nuts n Bolts was fun, but I'd really love a new one like the old two. So yeah, Banjo-Kazooie, Rayman, Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Pokemon, Sonic... Ooh, and PONG That's off the top of my head anyway... Edit: Thought up some more. Spyro, Super Smash Bros, Glover, Pac-Man, Dig-Dug... Gaming technology just keeps getting better, but the games themselves are getting worse... | 2011-02-04 18:06:00 Author: JamesDNaux Posts: 757 |
I'm currently on a play through of my favorite PS2 game (Dragon Quest VIII). Haven't played this in so long, so I almost feel like I know nothing of the game and it's awesome! Frustrating, and hard as friggen hell. BUT AWESOME! | 2011-02-05 08:29:00 Author: oNinjaFisho Posts: 67 |
man, way to many to list. I've been playing since the atari days (pac man, yars' revenge) I really got into gaming with the classic NES sytem. I mean mario bros? tetris, castlevania, battletoads, mega man, Maniac Mansion ( I still play this one today and the fan remakes) then with SNES (my favorite system) super mario, super contra, donkey kong country, final fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid (the best metroid IMO, i still play this today) Out of This World was great I also had the sega master system, the sega cd and the game gear---the sonic games rocked, Earthworm Jim, Ghouls'N Ghosts etc. Then I got my first PC ---Myst was my first pc game and I got totally sucked into that world, then the Zorks (wow! text only gaming. you're standing on a path, to the north is...man those were great.) Doom, Duke Nukem, Serious Sam, Roller coaster tycoon point n click adventures like Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island, King's Quest Gabriel Knight It came from the Desert Quest for Glory Beneath a Steel Sky man the list goes on and on playstation games: final fantasy VII and VIII for sure (who remembers having to switch disk on these. deep in the story and then this pops up, "please insert disk 4") Abe's odyssey, ico, tomb raider, chrono chross, legend of legai, etc. etc. I better stop, I could go on and on and on. The new systems are great, I have ps3(best), xbox360 and the Wii and the games are great but there's just something about these old games that just pull you in to the story and gameplay I still pick up these games and play today, much to the dismay of my kids who are like "those graphics suck" and i'm like "leave me alone, this is super metroid the best game ever!" | 2011-02-10 01:05:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
