right now i have two different types and im going to be expanding it, but they both use seqencers. One was is to do it like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9e06kMbk0M the other way i used a battery that is on a sequencer and some holo material glued on my charater with the battery hooked up to the holo.2011-02-02 01:35:00

Are you going to be using the animation for a cutscene, or to be controlled in gameplay?2011-02-02 01:48:00

Are you having trouble with getting the animation to work, or the actual moving faster when you press run? I'm not sure how to animate well, but I can help with the speed part.2011-02-02 02:06:00

You can set the Sequencer input to playback speed; have an OR gate in front of it, of which one input is the default speed and one is the increased speed (both analog signals!). If you are always moving, then the default speed is as simple as a battery set to for instance 50%. How to have two digital buttons (R1/R2 = on/off state only) create an increasing analog signal is something not entirely clear to me yet; possibly they influence a Timer or a Counter that outputs the analog signal. Other people can offer better info on that one.

Come to think of it:a better alternative is probably TWO sequencers; one for the default state animation and one for the boost animation. Switch between each sequencer with a Selector.

I used a not gate thats inverted so when its not pressed is of and when i press the L1 and R1 buttons its on, and have a timer to tell it to change and it works pretty well, thanks for your input i will have to try yours to see if i like it better.
