Toggling Lights Help

Ok so I have a problem. I have created a HUD out of Holo material. It consists of three pieces that are lit to indicate you can do an action three times. When the action is done, a light goes out. When it is done three times, all three lights are out. I have that part down. My problem is I don't want the lights to come back on until an object is collected, enabling me to perform the action three more times.

I am able to make it so the action doesn't trigger unless the object is obtained, but for the life of me I can't keep the lights working right. Does this make sense? I need help getting the lights to stay off, then all come back on when the object is gathered. The logic escapes me.

Any help in this would be hugely helpful. Thanks in advance.

you could have 3 counters 1 with the target count of 1 one with a target count of 2 and one with a target count of 3. invert the outputs of all of them and connect whatever is doing the action (that you can only do 3 times) to the input of all 3 of the counters. connect the output for whatever is detecting when the object is gathered to the reset of all of the counters. make an 'and' gate and connect the counter with the target count of 3 to one input of the and gate and the other input of the and gate to whatever button the player presses when they want to do the action. then connect that and gate to whatever does the action.2011-02-01 22:16:00

After drawing a diagram of what you said to do, it makes perfect sense. The LBP2 logic is still very new to me, and you just helped make one more problem seem like cake. Thanks a ton.2011-02-01 23:57:00
