Is there any way to do this?

I'm working on a Super Smash Bros-esque level using sackbots. I know how to use the sequencer to have button presses on the controlinator activate certain animations on the sackbots, but I've come across an annoying problem:

I want to make it so that if the player is moving his towards the left and presses the button that activates the sword swing animation, it activates an animation that shows him swinging at his left, and if he is moving towards his right, it activates a sword swing animation of the sackbot swinging towards his right.

The way I was expecting to do this, was using an AND gate combining moving the analog stick to the left + square activating the animation that swings towards his left and another for the right, HOWEVER, it seems that there is no way to make the game seperate left/right movements on the analog stick into two seperate inputs.

Is there any way to do this? Sorry if I made this sound more complicated than it really is.

yes and it is not that hard! all you need to do is connect a direction splitter to the analog stick. the positive output will be on when you move it right and negative output will be on when you move it left.2011-02-01 21:42:00
