A pretty (yet challenging) level to sooth your eyes

I've spent about 7 hours on this level in total. It's a tricky survival challenge with emphasis on the looks of the level. It's not rubbish I promise you can see that from the faces I've gotten already

Things in the level change in time with the music and the difficulty quickly ramps up to throw you off before settling back down again for the home straight. Please play it and tell me what you think... it's so hard to get plays on this game!!

Pretty nice! The scoring is a bit quirky. You can get points rapidly by grappling onto a platform from above and staying on top of it as long as possible. Swinging into the underside of the platform works too.

It is hard to see your character when the lighting goes to max darkness near the beginning, so you have an advantage if you wear a glowing costume in any dark parts.

The platforms are spread out too much. At least at the beginning, you should put them closer together.

Thanks a lot for all the feedback, the bit where it goes dark is deliberately meant to throw you off. It's the first 'hurdle' I like to call it. Agree with you about the platform distance, have been meaning to tweak that to get it spot on. After that I think I'm all done with this level.... unless anyone else finds something I've missed!

Thankyou! It's very easy to make this sort of level in LBP 2, now you have sequencers you can just sequence the pattern of platforms very easily and it's even easier to fine tune it.

Everyone that's asked me to play their levels - I have queued up all your levels and will marathon them all tonight

Alright, just played your level. I couldn't get very far, sadly, as I was always dying shortly after it became dark. Overall, it is indeed pretty! It makes me think about my star kingdom level from LBP1, except yours is prettier, lol. I can't say anything about it, except that it is very hard (and I aced the game! lol)2011-02-03 00:03:00

It's a shame you say that because if you're always dying there you're missing out on a lot of what the level has to show. Maybe I should make easier so that people can see all the shiny stuff I've put in it... i think I will, Cheers for playing

EDIT: Ok I have just made it a lot easier, completely removing the first danger floor, the second danger floor has been tweak to make it harder though to trip you up, hope that makes it better - I'm going to make a sequel with difficulty levels after I've finished my SWIV tribute level

Yeah I'm going to do that with the sequel, It will also have a lot more dynamic changes and I'm making my own music for it (my real job is a music producer and I LOVE the sequencer in LBP 2)

Hope you enjoy the easier version of "Bouncing with the Stars" though buddy

I did enjoy it, but to be honest I didn't really have a problem with the difficulty originally I really like how everything moves along with the music. In fact, I almost miss the electricity sliding in when the music starts to open up!

But still, one of my favorite survival challenges

so do I, but unfortunately it seems the LBP community get annoyed by sudden difficulty ramps, all the unhappy faces I've got for this level had around 1400 points... which is pretty much exactly where the electricity came out to throw you off, so buy getting rid of it, those people won't be getting annoyed and they get to see the whole level, which I think, for now... is just what the community want.

Loved this level! The atmosphere and visuals was awsome, I would appreciate if it was longer,but maybe it was just me that died early all the time.

Hey, pretty cool level here! It IS very nice looking. I suck at survival challenges and your top row of bounce pads can be a bit tricky to get to, but that's part of the challenge, right? If I changed anything it would be to lower them just a little bit. The challenge is landing on the small, moving pads, not near impossibility of reaching them. However, that is just what I'd do if I made the level. It's def not a game breaker, so do as you wish. I'm gonna try it again and see if I can do any better!
I always appreciate feedback if you want to try the level in my sig!

Oh and that pad that's just out of reach is deliberate, you're meant to grapple hook those ones , and it is possible to get that high using the asteroids. Thanks again
