Is it possible to have 4 players with 4 different cameras in Top down view?

Archive: 11 posts

Each of the players will jump in a Controllinator to control a sackbot in a Controllinator for a top down game I am making. The only problem is, I can't figure out how to give every player a separate camera. I've tried both Movie camera and Game camera, and Verses mode. If I stick 4 Cameras in 4 Different controllinators The first person in the Controllinator gets the camera and everyone else has to watch him.

What am I missing?

This doesn't work - it still results in the same issue the OP is having.
I'm in the exact same boat just now.

I have some cameras attached to invisible holograms, with movers that follow the respective vehicles. The cameras themselves are definitely following the correct vehicles, but all players can only activate one camera at a time.
Even the tutorial video in the stickied thread doesn't seem to cover this issue or whatever.

This is a total guess, but maybe the "Local Space" option on the game cam will solve this problem? I'm still not sure exactly what its for.2011-02-01 18:35:00

Local space means if the object the camera is on rotates, so does the camera angle.
So, you would tick 'Local Space' if you wanted a racing game where the camera always follows behind the vehicle, rather than from a fixed angle.

Yea I'm having the same problem. I think I fixed it somehow by using the method above with versus mode, but I'm not sure and I cannot check for a while.2011-02-01 18:38:00

dont use movie camers, use game cameras with tiny radius' then make the players follow their vehicles and make sure the game mode is versus.2011-02-01 19:45:00

go to the last page of your tools bag and set it to a v.s. level. make shure to tell the players that it is no v,s. though!2011-02-02 02:32:00
