Sounds interesting...
Im sure once I enter the level I will understand what you mean! Queued!

Please check out the LBP 2 level in my signature...

After playing! - One word... Wow... I didn't even know stuff like that is possible... Did you use a sequencer and a music sequencer? Everything was perfectly on time with the beat. Really looking forward to seeing more like it! : ) and a heart!

Yes, sequencer and music-sequencer. I think the music sequencer runs at "120" and most of the sequencers at 0,5 or 1 seconds. Then you can loop your animations perfectly timed with the music. It was easy to make, even with the tons of logic.
Queued your level!

It was really nice. I liked the overall all animations especially the dancing stars that stayed in place, and the drumming stars (which were a nice touch).
Did you make the music yourself, I have to say it was one of the calmest songs I've seen come out of the sequence thus far, I always just see fast paced tehcno songs come from, which your wasn't all that face pasted, but it did sound quite nice.
Only problem I had, was when some of the stars would move quickly up or down, it looked really jittery. Other than that good job

Very nice level. Would love to see this concept implemented further into a 'real' level!2011-02-01 20:20:00

I played your level, and it was good!
The music is great and fits with the level.
The stars were cute and funny

It is good that the stars do different things, and it looks good, and the moves fit with the music!
The design is also nice, but I missed sunbeams...but still a `Yay` and a heart

YEah, I put a music sequencer on my sequencer on my level as well. It is not an easy thing to do to get everything timed properly, lol. Anyway, I will be checking out your level, please check mine out as well. Link in sig.2011-02-01 22:31:00

Awesome! Loved it and its very unique. Great little 8th note flutters of the smaller stars at some points too which i really liked! Great use of the sequencer. You should create a different sunrise at the end rather than having the moon just turn into the sun and have the stars fade away as it comes in but its up to you really! Great stuff nyway2011-02-02 15:13:00

Hey, thanks for feedback on my level! Overall I really enjoyed this, it seems to be a unique concept as I haven't seen it anywhere else in LBP2. The music sequencer song is excellent, and the animation is clever - I particularly liked the white star, for some reason reminded me of the Boogeyman from Nightmare Before Christmas! Maybe my one criticism is that it goes on for a bit too long for a single rhythm of music, but otherwise really clever and I hope it inspires others to make similar levels.2011-02-03 17:29:00

Great animation and a good tune. As a demo/proof of concept it's a bit too dragged out and repetetive, but it does get the point across. It feels like one of those 3D laser shows. Or one of those Wizards of Winter Christmas Light shows ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJNOA-iq2pc ) =)

What I'm wondering is, is everything manually set up, or does certain notes actually trigger a certain animation sequence?

Haha, thanks.
Well, the animations replayed because every single star represents a melody of my track. So there were as many animation as melodies.

Well, I put batteries on the music sequencer, but they are too big to let them activate every star for every note.
So a battery starts a sequencer which has all the batteries for the animation on it. So as soon as the track plays and the battery gets activated, the sequencer starts to turn on the animation. Thats it. Not really complex. But still there are a lot of wires as you can see in the picture in the first post.

very nice concept, i would ike to see the next one contain some sweeping camera shots, have the stars on different planes maybe and interacting?

I thionk something extra is needed tosustain interest past a certain point... very very nice ho, hiopefully what i'm saying comes across as concstructive

please review my movie https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=47674-New-Movie&p=761502

This is the first movie level I ever leaved a feedback in LBPC.

VISUALS:
The animation of the stars are intriguing. You did a great job on the cinematic sequences.

SOUND:
Great custom music, and it gives a great rhythm in this level as it matches with the animation of this cut scene.

OVERALL:
It's really enjoyable to watch. A yeah vote, a heart, and a positive review.

Here?s my feeback:
I love this level! its a completely new thing in LBP2! I loved the star in th emiddle who did like a elvis dance move !
Moreover the timing was nearly perfect, it must have been a lot of work!
Because i can?t find negative aspects about this i?ll just stop here.
Oh, one more thing, i think this level is worth a Mm Pick, because it was probably hard work, and when you look at what got mm picked in LBP1, one can say this deserves it more !
truly amazing!
seeya!
