First you'll want to use a camera with the flatness turned up, which should make everything look, well, flat. Then you'll want to build everything to actually look like that. If you want to use a sackboy instead of making a sprite, you can stick some pixel filter material in front of him, but I'm not sure how convincing that would be (trying to make the graphics look worse isn't really my thing, so I'm no expert).2011-02-01 15:41:00

I'll be using a sprite Is it correct to make them large first then shrink them down?2011-02-01 15:43:00

The Grid (press Start during Create Mode, "small" setting) is your greatest friend here. I'd leave the size untouched and zoom out the camera instead to make it appear smaller.

Be sure to limit yourself to a pallet of 8 or 16 colours.

When I was young we were pulling tricks just to get higher resolution or more colours. We had to work to squeeze out an extra vertice in our wire model. Now they have a full colour 3D world, and they go and make sprite game... Kids today, huh?
