Apologies for asking such a weak question although I would like to know where a cloth like material could be found in the story stages.

I'm not sure there is any cloth material, then again I might be misreading your post. Do you mean material-wise or just visual-wise?

there isn't a "cloth" material - however there are a few flags and torn curtains and such that you can attach to your levels. I used the mini-flag as the skwerl tails in Skwerl's Birthday Bash - I'm at work so can't look up the locations - but hopefully this leads you in the right direction
