Sack Hero - working title

Archive: 5 posts

I am starting a big project of guitar hero on littlebigplanet 2. It is only on paper and computer for now, but I created a guitar hero logic system with short and long notes, a health meter and even star power. I finish unmixing my notes tomorrow and then I lbplanetize it (omg I realy typed that word). The great of it : i'll be able to use it for any song and it will be GuitarHero controler compatible !!! (at least with gh world tour, i'll need to see if the frets are still x o square triangle L1 in other)2011-02-01 04:39:00

More than sorry for double posting, but i reached my psp's limit in the first post. I will tell how I made it in the tutorial sections, but for now I must figure out if the player only lose life or (and if, how?) win it back. Next I'll make songs in a sequencer, not a music sequencer but a logic sequencer, with sound objects like in lbp1. Every note is a battery and the are linked to note emitters. This will be so freaking long... Every note has a chip, every play zone and end zone too. Reachedpsplimitagai2011-02-01 04:51:00

Dang that's some hardcore stuff. If it works well you're gonna be my hero. I'm really looking forward to it however, you should give it something cool and appealing like a story mode or a platforming adventure to go along with it. As much as I appreciate your love and determination to recreate the game I think you should make an attempt to make it better than the original rather than a copy and you're gonna need something to make somebody want to play your version rather than the real thing. That's just my opinion on how to keep the community fresh I'm sure it will be very successful either way.2011-02-01 06:55:00

Isn't a nice Sackboy dancing cute engough ? I know this is hard and it won't be as great as the original GH, but like the man who took the time to make a calculator, it is just cool to think we can make a GH game on LBP ! Here, I'm done with paperwork, here is the plan I have to build. I'll had instructions after, since it is hard to understand

After working in the editor, I decided not to put Star Power yet, and at the same time no long notes. It makes the game waaay faster to create. I made 4 times the NOTE SYSTEM and 4 times the PLAY ZONE SYSTEM (one for each note). I made the DESTROY SYSTEM (it is the same for every note) and the hologram structure of the game.

The controlinator isn't hooked to everything, so only the X button works, and I forgot to disable the popit. There seems to be something wrong with the PLAY ZONE SYSTEM as it doesn't detect if there are notes or not. You lose 10 points for every button pressed, even if it is the good one ! But the wining points system is fine. I think it has something to deal with the magnetic key's tag. You see, in my plan, I have the X key, the Z key, plus the A and B key. A and B keys are different for each. I probably mixed two colors. I'm not frustrated about it, it will take two minutes to find out what is lame.

For now, there is no song. I decided to put a music loop in the back (I already sequenced it with a music sequencer) and notes will appear at random, since making it like a guitar hero game would be too hard. There still are some sounds when you play notes, but only bips and noises.

LIST OF WHAT IS DONE :
-Background music
-Notes
-Graphics
TO DO LIST :
-Controlinator hook up
-Guitar Hero compatible version
-Sequencer that makes the game harder with time and follows the music beat.
-Correct minor fixes

The batteries in the MAIN SYSTEM will be linked to a giant AND, linked to a random machine, linked to the note emmiters. The drwaing is not up to date. I can't play anymore, my parents think I play too much so I have a time limit, how lame is that...
