They seem like such a simple tool to use, but I can never get them to do what I want. Maybe I just need a complete breakdown on how to use it properly and maybe my ideas are too much for the emitter... (I've done and watched the Emitter tutorial in the game and it doesn't help) All I want to do is make something shoot out from a specific location (ex, fireball projectile in a lava pit, plasma out of a controlinator, etc.) without it disappearing or just appearing. How do I do this? The tutorial just has you emit an egg out of a chicken's butt, but I want my projectile to leap across a small area, or shoot out of a hand to the other side of the level. Can someone please help me because I can't seem to find help anywhere and this problem doesn't seem that hard (but it is for me!)

How do I do this? To make sure it appears/disappears at the right time, fool around with the frequency/lifetime settings, you may have to make it very precise by using .1 increments with the right stick. For when you want it to appear, you can also wire switches up to emitters so you can choose when to emit it yourself. I can't think of what it's called, the exact term eludes me at this point, but basically changing the velocity requires changing the number next to the ball with an arrow coming out of it at the top. (please help me with the name someone) Can someone please help me because I can't seem to find help anywhere and this problem doesn't seem that hard (but it is for me!) My responses bolded.

How do I do this? The tutorial just has you emit an egg out of a chicken's butt! Haha, I know I am not contributing much in this thread with this post, but this quote pretty much summarizes how utterly bad tutorials are in this game.
