Failed to load all player profiles

Archive: 12 posts

Hi.
I took the game up to a friend to have fun with. Then we tried to join another friend of mine over psn. It took some time, but when it loaded, my friend who I was siting with was in the game, but I was not. And then it stood: "Failed to load all player profiles".
Help, has anyone had this problem before?
I tried when I got home to, but the same thing happend there to. People can't join me either. I did not have this problem yesterday.
Thanks in Advance.

I have failed to have this problem. However I have heard of this before. Try rebooting your consol in addition to signing with one profile then run a quick analysis to find the setback.2008-11-14 01:53:00

Turns out, that it's only me and one of my friends that can't play with each other. We can both play with other friends, but when we 2 wants to play together, I get the same message.
We have a blast playing with each other. And now we cant?

Edit: Turns out, It happens to everyone but on of my friends. I can only play with one friend and no one else, I can't play with stranger either.

I've had this problem a lot too...But it was never permanent. Maybe it wouldn't let players load due to high ping...Or something of the sorts. Maybe the connection to you, or your connection to them is just plain bad? O_o

It might be, but I find it weird that the same thing happened when I was at a friends place with my profile. And he's got really good internet.

This is one I've been wondering about too.

My situation is a little different.... There's one friend of mine that Im most likely to play this with over the Net, and trade levels and such. However, for whatever reason, it only works if HE joins ME..... if I join HIM in his pod/group, the game will ALWAYS give the "Failed to load all player profiles" error.

However, before it does that, it will always fully load his pod to where I can see it, and see him moving around in it.... I'll watch him wait impatiently for me, and then pow, there's the error, and Im booted back to my own pod. Yet, if he enters mine, there's never any issues whatsoever, and we can jump into any level we please.

This is a very strange issue, and I'd love to find out just what causes it..... hopefully someone can figure this out.

I get this error too, have only been able to play 2 or 3 times online until now. In some forum they said that it has to do with corrupted save data and that deleting it and starting over fixes this error. I have tried this and I still get the error though. I'll try deleting everything LBP including game data and reeinstall everything later.
Another solution that worked for some was plugging the PS3 directly into the Modem or w/e without going through a router or switches. This is not an option for me though, because my wired connection goes through 3 floors.
I really think that it has nothing to do with internet connection, as long as it does not totally fail. I did a speed test on various sites with my PS3 and always got around 2800 kb/s down and 360 kb/s up (only up to dsl 3000 in my area possible). But what makes me quite sure that it is not a connetion problem, is that when I try to play online, I almost everytime get into the game. After joining I see the other players playing time-lapse to the point they are right now and then I'm like watching them play in real time without any lag. I even got into a pod a few times, watching the host choosing a level and it did not lag at all. And then after being able to watch for a while it just goes "Failed to load all player profiles" and disconnects.

There should be another petition for this stupid error to be fixed..
I wish MM or Sony would at least comment on this, as this error seems to be quite common.

I got this every time with a friend of mine who lives far away geographically and is on a poor internet connection.

My PS3 was connected, wired, to my router, but in the internet connection settings it was reporting NAT Type 3. Well, I changed the network settings on the PS3 and gave it a static IP address. Then, I changed the my router so that my PS3's IP was the DMZ. This has consistently allowed the PS3 to use NAT Type 2.

We tried again last night and we didn't get the error! Unfortunately the lag was so awful it was impossible to play. Maybe that won't be the case for you, though... so I'd give it a try.

Well, I also did a connection test and it was NAT 2. But setting the PS3 to static and using DMZ might help, so I'll definitely try it.

Edit: I completey reinstalled LBP and made another new save game. I also enabled DMZ for the PS3, but the NAT Type didn't change to 1 with DMZ on, not even with the firewall turned off. The error is still there and it did not work even once .. <.< Someone spam MM to fix this.

Edit2: I just sent MM an email about this and hope they will reply..
