Archive: 7 posts

My 'Hitman' series consists of 9 episodes in the same chronological order as the real 'Hitman' game. my Hitman Series Walkthrough' will help players to play these levels properly. a must play for Hitman fans and those with a sharp mind. make sure you allow collectable stickers in your profile settings, these levels use alot of sticker switches. good luck 47.

Ok, I played your level (and the first level of the series as this is just a long list of text telling us all how to complete each of the 10(?) levels you've made)

I also played something called Hitsack? Just to make sure I got the right series? It was a little confusing...

Right then, where to start....Well, at the risk of upsetting you, you really don't want to say things like 'this is my last attempt at seeing if the community can play such refined levels' or 'it saddens me that nobody will play or be capable of playing these awesome levels' when it is probably, in all honesty, something to do with the quality of your levels. It doesn't help when, within the first 3 seconds of your level starting, you ask us to dress up our Sackboys in a designated outfit (searching high and low) to take a picture to activate a sticker switch to open a door. It's far too cumbersome (and completely devoid of any fun) I nearly gave up right there. But I didn't I persevered and ground my way up to a point where I got stuck trying to jump/grab a stick blob with a (fiery) gun only to get stuck. The bits inbetween were a mish-mash of pre-made or terribly designed enemies/characters, simply bad weapons and getting stuck behind doors that wouldn't open or had already activated shut blocking any further passage. At this point I decided to move on to the second part of you dectology(?)....Hitman 2: the Dragon something..

...Again....this is harsh I know, but this was simply bad. Bad sets, bad mechanics, bad enemies, bad everything. Oh...and the plot and plot devices were simply terrible (a chair used as a lift to carry the player to a sniper nest to shoot some bad guys who seemed harmless enough?) I played through though, got bombed by a bad helicopter, caught up in some random Dark Matter and finally finished. No sign of any dragon though.

I even played a little of your Hitsack level, just for good measure....and found more of the same (in a more fairytale sort of way)....I tried for you, I really did....

I find it hard to be harsh, though, and. I'd really like to offer you some encouragement...so

-Concentrate on one level at a time, make it your pride and joy, once it starts to get recognition THEN move on to a follow-up
-Take more time over your sets/materials. Use the corner editor A LOT, once you get the hang of it it really is the most useful tool.
-Try using a little imagination with the palette of materials you use. I don't mean too many, just steer clear of the defaults.
-Make it FUN! This is the most important thing. I understand WHY you put in certain things (the dressing up) it's clever, its original....but is it fun. Answer? No. And I imagine many more people would think the same.....the competition is fierce....it's far too easy to quit and find something bettter than to stick around playing something that just frustrates.

These are just a few things I'd recommend you look into, but also, I'd like to say don't overstate how good you think your levels are, let others decide. You may well think these are the greatest levels LBP has to offer and that's fine. But when you suggest people 'aren't capable' you're just setting yourself up for a fall...

Good luck in future!

Yeah I'll play it too, but you haven't got LBP2 or what?

Hitman is made in Denmark so it's cool! Are you Danish?

i did make the first few episodes when i was a nooby to LBP so there were some unnecesary and strange things but tried to stress that the skill of observation and stickering are important. the following episodes are more true to the Hitman way and better quality. i would like to hear what you think of Pablo and 'hostile hotel' based on the hitman mission 'traditions of the trade' if you get stuck just play the walkthrough again ...... i do wish my series appealed to the community and that hitman was known better but that is an old game and people forget. my levels are like a tribute to the old game,2011-02-27 12:47:00
