Wow. Invites.
Archive: 27 posts
So, can you guys honestly tell me, you were just about to ace the bunker (maybe it was collecters lair), and you died because someone invited you to a game? IT POPS UP, AND MAKES YOU LET GO. Not to mention that it just completely interrupts you. It's so irritating! If I get an invite, just give me a notification, and I'll access it from the start menu! Jesus! It doesn't even pause the game for you, so you don't die. It's even worse when that person won't leave you alone.. Agreed? | 2008-11-13 21:04:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Hell yes! Amen to that O_o I hate invites that just keep popping up every half a minute -_- Don't these people get the point that you're bloody busy? -_- | 2008-11-13 21:09:00 Author: Stix489 Posts: 2080 |
I actually wish I could turn off Notifications in general...But yeah I get what you mean. Definitely agreed. On that note, what the hell is "LBP Messages" for? (In the menu) What, is it reserved for when Mods contact you or something? @ Stix: You tend to do that to, you know :/ | 2008-11-13 21:09:00 Author: Forsaken Posts: 950 |

You can access them there. | 2008-11-13 21:11:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Only on MSN Forsaken, only on MSN >_> <_< It's not like you DIE when I send you a message >_> | 2008-11-13 21:13:00 Author: Stix489 Posts: 2080 |
Nope, it's for when people send you items, and you don't immediately download them. You can access them there. Aaaah, alright. Thanks Miffy. I thought it was something reserved for later. @ Stix: Err...No xD you did it once when I was playing Azures Palace, and was like "No lol". It's when you had that friend over. | 2008-11-13 21:14:00 Author: Forsaken Posts: 950 |

Can you send costumes that you have made to someone else? | 2008-11-13 21:41:00 Author: mjuice Posts: 111 |
Nope :/ Otherwise you could send them the DLC stuff | 2008-11-13 21:43:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
Yes! There was a system in Burnout Paradise when one of your friends sent you an invite, it would notify you, then you had to go through a menu to select the invite, and it worked (unless you had 20 hardcore fans on your friends list!). When trying to navigate the wheel of doom, the last thing you need is that. Its worse than those pop-ups that just replace your screen rather than opening a new window. | 2008-11-13 21:46:00 Author: floor3013 Posts: 287 |
Nope :/ Otherwise you could send them the DLC stuff They should put some kind of lock on dlc....then let you send costumes that you have made to friends...i guess it would be too much of a hassle on their part. | 2008-11-13 21:49:00 Author: mjuice Posts: 111 |

why dont you just sign off so they c ant bug u | 2008-11-14 16:31:00 Author: panzer3000 Posts: 362 |
why dont you just sign off so they c ant bug u Well for one thing, Story levels aren't the only sort of levels in the game. And you can't be bothered to log in and out every time you want to play "Cool levels", or use anything related to online in the game. Another thing is, people like keeping their PSN on. Maybe someone needs something of you and sends you a message? or the other way around. | 2008-11-14 16:38:00 Author: Forsaken Posts: 950 |
Can't say it's a problem for me, as no one ever invites me:o Probably because every time that someone does, I refuse because I'm creating | 2008-11-14 18:59:00 Author: dorien Posts: 2767 |
I don't because it still says "Doing it alone first" xD | 2008-11-14 19:32:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
I always get them, mostly when I'm creating though ( a lot of the time ) Hopefully my level is good. I just refuse them, I hope people don't hate me for it | 2008-11-14 23:14:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
I hardly get invites, but I suppose it's because I'm friends with hardly anybody here. However, when I do, it's when I'm in Create Mode. It's almost as if people are waiting for you to go into an Empty Level, then they attack you! | 2008-11-14 23:19:00 Author: Unknown User |
in battlefield: bad company when you get an invite you have to exit the game for it to work. Usually if you're playing a game and you get an invite by the time you exit and accept the invite joining it is already too late. | 2008-11-15 01:22:00 Author: muttjones Posts: 843 |
Better than not getting any invites. In all seriousness, I've died several times due to invites, so it would be helpful for them to fix that system. | 2008-11-15 05:46:00 Author: Code1337 Posts: 3476 |

Kind of annoying. | 2008-11-15 05:47:00 Author: docpac Posts: 601 |
I got ambushed by an invite today. The message didn't even pop up completely, and I guess I accidentally confirmed. Next thing I knew, I was in someone elses pod. At least I found out online multiplayer is still laggy. | 2008-11-15 07:57:00 Author: DarkDedede Posts: 672 |
It shows you in the XMB what level your friends are in. Maybe if they just showed you that in the LBP "friends" screen, people could make better decisions? I wouldn't invite someone I knew was trying to ace the bunker, for instance! | 2008-11-15 13:59:00 Author: Risen Posts: 251 |
