How To Use Objects as Actors for Cutscenes
Archive: 6 posts
Here is how to use objects you've created as actors for your cutscenes. 1. Take the object you want to use as an actor. 2. Put a controllinator on it. Make sure you tweak it to be invisible in play mode. 3. Set the controls for the animations you want to give the object. I recommend attaching bolts or pistons for extra animations such as walking legs or moving arms. 4. Create a sackbot and put it in the controllinator. 5. Set the sackbot's behavior to Act. 6. Record! The sackbot will be able to control the object. Well that's my tutorial. I hope it's useful. | 2011-01-31 20:06:00 Author: lemurboy12 ![]() Posts: 842 |

Wow, I didn't think of using a Sackbot as a "brain" for an object. I just know this'll be helpful at some point! Thanks! | 2011-02-03 00:00:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Ya I did this for my level (My Advise 3.2 - AnIdea Tutorial) to record vehicle movement. The only problem is you need to create a counter for players (1-4) weight and it takes allot of tweaking to make it look not like its manually controlled...(still need to fix it) | 2011-03-26 11:15:00 Author: hungryhippo ![]() Posts: 76 |
