I've seen this a lot in the story mode but I'm not quite sure how it's done so well. What I'm talking about is when there's a platform and it seems solid, and then there's an explosion or something and the platform breaks apart into chunks and falls down (it doesn't just get destroyed and vanish). How is this done? What I tried was create all the chunks that the platform will break into, and then piece them together like a puzzle, but I still don't know how one minute it's strong enough to walk on, and the next it breaks without totally getting destroyed

From what I've seen in the final level (see phase 2), the blocks are attached to a platform in the thin layer (is that what you guys call it?). So if you're near the platform, the thin layered platform vanishes (use the destruction things for that), causing the many parts to fall down. That looks like as if the platform broke into many pieces. Hope you understand me!
