Emitting 1 item per press?
Archive: 5 posts
I'm guessing this has to do with timer's/reset, but I've never used them. So sorry if this seems soo simple... But I need to emit 1 item per press of R1. At the moment It's emitting loads everytime R1 is held down. So I need that to stop, but I also need it to emit alot if they were to tap R1 really fast, if you get what I mean. So I can't really just allow the emitter to emit the item at a slower time rate. Thanks. | 2011-01-31 20:02:00 Author: Southpaw020 Posts: 50 |
Super easy! After connecting anything to the emitter, you can choose the 'One Shot' option for spawning the item which, for example, makes the item appear every time you tap R1, no more, no less often (Unless you limited it in some kind) Hope that helps! | 2011-01-31 20:05:00 Author: iArekusu Posts: 402 |
Have you tried setting the emitter to one shot? <sniped!> | 2011-01-31 20:06:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |
did you set the emitter to "one shot" instead of "off/on"? if so, and its still acting like that: Run the R1 into a counter with a max of 1 then run that counter to the emitter. Then put a NOT switch attached to the R1 and run that to the reset for the counter. Pressing R1 will trigger the counter, which will trigger the emitter, but the counter won't reset until the button is released. none of that should be necessary though. Just setting it to "one shot" should do the trick. | 2011-01-31 20:09:00 Author: Deftmute Posts: 730 |
Oh. Ooops. That simple huh? Thanks guys. This create mode has made me look like a fool once again. I know the one-shot option was obviously in LBP1, but this new create mode, with all these new features has done my head in. I even use dark matter, and use the logic from LBP in LBP2. I can't get my head round it. Thanks again. | 2011-01-31 20:10:00 Author: Southpaw020 Posts: 50 |
