Woodworks

Woodworks Woodworks allows you to explore the depths and corners of a little big styled wood works. Pass through tunnels of wood and see the hot wood being transferred through the factory within the walls. Obstacles appear such as swings and moving platforms that allow the level to feel fluid and continuous. The level also features a small user controlled system, using levers you place a block of wood into the correct place allowing a door to unlock. The levels main feature is that it contains special 'Woodworks' bubbles, 3 in total, which can be collected to recieve a special 'Woodworks Time Trial' sticker, if the level is replayed this sticker can be placed at the beginning of the level to activate the race, thus rewarding the player with more points if they complete the level in time. Although it's not as easy as it seems, these special bubbles are hidden over the level and one can only be discovered using two players. Feedback would be appreciated! http://www.mistercow.com/radioclub/system/src/129648358349.jpg http://www.mistercow.com/radioclub/system/src/129648359518.jpg http://www.mistercow.com/radioclub/system/src/129648360512.jpg http://www.mistercow.com/radioclub/system/src/12964836181.jpg http://www.mistercow.com/radioclub/system/src/129648362691.jpg http://lbp.me/v/wwpyt- | 2011-01-31 14:30:00 Author: sManic Posts: 17 |

Sounds cool ill check this out and leave some feedback soon Ok heres my feedback.. I played the level. I liked the style it had, the platforming while wasnt like really complex it was fun, I liked the part where those 3 blocks of wood would fall and ran along the rollers, that was pretty cool. The fonts were cool, one little part gave me problems >_< it was pretty hard, where it was a double sided platform, one with fire and the other of wood, they would spin and you had to like get the right momentum to cross, at first it was pretty hard, I almost gave up but then I got through it. I gave the level a good rating and a heart. Can you return the favor on my level on my level? heres the link of the F4F thingy-->https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=46865-Bloo-s-Art-Gallery | 2011-01-31 15:29:00 Author: Bloo_boy Posts: 1019 |

Hello! I played this and I have a couple things to say. I had the same problem as Bloo_boy with the spinning platforms. I actually got too frustrated by them and quit. I'd slow them down just a little bit. It's good to give slower players a small cushion to execute various parts. By the time I reached the last one it dipped me in the fire or was too far for me to jump. The rest of what I saw was fun. Good ideas. I really liked the part where you are heading downward and have to avoid the falling flames 3 different times as you cross back and forth. Good use of one obstacle being used several times. Overall it seems pretty cool, except the spinning platform timing. | 2011-02-01 15:54:00 Author: Aselrahc Posts: 185 |

Well it was a great looking level with some really unique platforming elements like the wood going over the wheels! At some points however i lacked any corner editing it seemed... Did you use the square brush and just rotated it? The bubbles that you hid i couldn't find! I gave it a : ) Please check out the lbp2 level in my signature! | 2011-02-02 07:32:00 Author: trianglepigsquar Posts: 144 |
Thanks everyone! And yea the spinning wheels platform bit is a bit tricky, i found i was test playing it so much that i'd gotten used to it and could do it perfectly, but forgot how it would seem to other people. Also, this means a lot to me to get 50+ plays! i spent so much time n this level and it was a big dissapointment to only have less than 10 people play it, so getting the count up lik you guys have, has really put some confidence back into me, wanting to make a level again! Anyway who asked me to play their level, i have qued them all and will post on your F4F thread if i can find it. | 2011-02-02 09:47:00 Author: sManic Posts: 17 |
I enjoyed the level quite a bit, especially the aesthetics of the logs running along through the whole level. | 2011-02-02 14:37:00 Author: Dietomaha Posts: 156 |
Played this level and thought it was great! Smiley Face and hearted! It was a challenge but not frustrating and there was some real clever use of platforms throughout. Two small things though like when you have to connect the pink sensor switch to its tag and it drops a platform the platform fell a bit awkwardly when i played and nearly fell down altogether and one time on the 3 blocks of wood with the sponge attached on the rollers i got crushed in between two of the blocks when it fell at the very end. Not real problems though and didn't hamper any enjoyment of the level! I hearted you as a creator too cos i can't wait to see what you come up with in LBP 2!! | 2011-02-02 17:02:00 Author: Dangerlove Posts: 88 |
Thanks a lot Dangerlove! Your feedback means a lot to me. I'm going to go que your level and play it. I have a few friends with me too so will get them to play it too! I'm working on a couple of levels right now, one is a platformer like Woodworks and should turn out nice! | 2011-02-02 17:46:00 Author: sManic Posts: 17 |
