Oh no, whats this? Another FPS level, I'm bored of them, I'll rather you create boxes that move around, wait sackbots? They take cover? And it's actually... fun?

Here are some screens.

I put a lot of work into this, and I'm still tweaking around with some aspects of it, this is pretty much my best level yet. Had a buggy start as one of the guns didn't fully capture... But it's all fixed now!

This level has some of the features suggested to me, such as "clear out a section of the enemies before you can continue". I didn't add a knife because.. well if I was recreating a COD game I guess people would fully understand 25 metre lunges... I didn't add grenades in either, though I might add it in later on in an update (I'll be updating the level).

I would get the complaint that my FPS's where... to repetitive. And I agree they were. So I break up the gameplay in many different sections with different scenery to make it feel more fresh.

There are two difficultly settings though I'd recommend casual for more enjoyment.
I had taken out Health with casual for one reason, it was so light that there was no purpose as you will never die.
Hard is well, hard but completing it gives you a bonus point payout.

I had emitted most of the sackbots into the level AND IT SAVED A HUGH AMOUNT OF THERMO, I applauded Mm for the better emitters trusting us not to over run the memory, my most hated tool, is now my most loved?

I use many techniques learnt throughout the LBP2 beta, and learnt many techniques while creating this (graphics may be a little uneven).

And oh, did I forget. There is co op! Yes you can bring up to 3 extra people all with there own cross hair, so no need to let your friends watch you while you have all the fun.

Hope you have fun, it was amazing making this level and it vastly looks completely different from the level I made back in 2009 August in LBP1.

It is very cool. I do like how you got the sackbot enemies to take cover like that. Their design was pretty good too, It makes a change from the spartan FPSes you see on LBP2.2011-01-31 14:43:00

Wow the level has an high play to heart ratio. When I have time I may add an update to the level.
Vietnam 2 is in the idea stages, but if you played the beta version the story will remain the same but most likely the level will be all in one level instead of the 3 i thought out originally.

Incredible level!

Really this blew me away, so far i don't think any unique level, or rather unusual style of level for Little Big Planet, has impressed me this much.

I'll start with visuals. They were incredibly convincing, despite being so simple (which is always good), i mean there was intricate details and multiple levels of foliage but it wasn't overcrowded and all served a purpose. The guns themselves look perfectly realistic and so did their animations.

I loved the way the scenery interacted with you and the level itself, i.e. the exploding barrels, helicopter, tree etc. Same goes for the ability to shoot through weak materials.

Game play was mind blowing for LBP ... I mean i don't even know how you would approach this kind of thing as far as design goes. Simply brilliant, and the fact that you went to the effort to include a pistol as well as multiple primary weapon options just speaks volumes for the level and your skill as a creator.

The guns themselves reacted fine, they were accurate and i had no problems with them at all. I would have preferred recoil, but i'm sure that comes with a hell of a lot of issues, and takes away the arcade aspect too.

Even the idea of making it through the jungle to take out a mortar team for a specific reason is brilliant, most would have just left it as an FPS, period, but this adds to the experience. If you decided to make a sequel of sorts, and included a full blown story line (i.e. mini Platoon/Apocalypse Now style) that would be even more awesome.

The training mission to begin with is also fantastic and adds yet more depth to the level, as does the ability to choose difficulty level.

Another thing i would have liked to see, i am asking for too much here i know, is some form of point reduction or health bar for being hit, but i respect that the dynamics of such a proposal are probably ridiculously complex.

The only problem that needs fixing is that you had a spelling error in one of the first cut scene shots (I think it was a double typo "the through the through") but heck its nothing.

Absolutely mind blowing level, resourcefulness at its best!

If you have the time, please check out my mini-game, level in my sig.

Played this last night. Of my queued list, this one was the one that stuck out. I'm not a big "war" gamer, but enjoy a shoot em up as much as anyone. This blew me away! Attention to detail was great. Character animations were great! Play was smooth and accurate, the little things like lanterns bursting into flame; Great! I found no bugs or glitches. Everything was right on. I had a blast!2011-02-01 20:33:00

This is definatly an epic level, the best of the genre in the LBP2 world. I have Created a FPS ANTIVIRUS and i've noticed you played it before. i was hoping to get some feed back seeing how you are the master of the FPS. i'd like to know what you think and if its up to par. another question i had for you was the ammo logics. how do you use the timers or counters to fire but reach a limit untill reset? the reloads are driving me crazy!2011-02-15 15:41:00

You're drawing me in here But I have to keep on track with my own plans. I'm thinking of FPS Points, where only certain parts are FPS, with most of the game being normal platform.2011-03-02 19:41:00
