Elevator with both call buttons, directional control and a master power switch

Archive: 4 posts

OK so I'm trying to build an elevator that has a three way switch to allow the player to move it up, down or leave it where it is. That's easy enough. I also want to be able to use a button to call the elevator to any one of the three floors that the elevator goes to by using a button. Lastly I want to be able to turn the elevator system on and off with a two way switch (although this is the least important of the the things I need it to do).

PS Sorry that my first post (well second post seeing as I have made an introduction post already) is a hello give me helps post. Taking before you give isn't the best way to get the community on side is it :0)

You might check out the LBPC Logic packs as one of the tutorials in there covers this. While it is done in LBP1 logic, it should be easy enough to convert to new components.

Here is the link! (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=18351-Tutorial-3.1-Designing-an-Advanced-Elevator)

Now that looks like it could be of some use. Many thanks! :0)

I'll have a go at Getting it working tonight and see where it gets me.

Hey BenOut-Revenge...if you're still having problems, I kind of get a kick out of creating elevators for some reason. My most complex so far has been a pistonless, winchless 3 floor elevator. Floor selection is handled with the controlinator, as well as a door that only opens when the elevator has come to a stop at the specified floor. As far as a failsafe goes, the elevator automatically ascends/descends to whatever floor the player is on, so you can "miss" the elevator without worrying. As a final note, you can smoothly transition from floor 1 to 3 or 3 to 1 without a layover at floor 2. Let me know if you'd like to take a look at it, my PSN is the same as my forum name.2011-02-03 05:03:00
