A serious punishment for h4h
Archive: 12 posts
okay, this may at least slow down the creation of h4h levels but i think Mm should do a 3 strike punishment for any publisher for h4h. Heres what i think they should do. Strike 1-Removal of all h4h you published Strike 2-Removal of all stats and pins and trophies related to create mode Strike 3-Permanent ban on publishing levels, but can still play community levels It may not work but at least it will slowdown h4h EDIT BlueBulletBill's solution 1. Patch game to not offer rewards for getting hearts, plays. Make all trophies story-related. 2. There's no need for a second step. Herp-a-derp, problem solved. Mm can send me my check now. which i totally agree with | 2011-01-31 01:33:00 Author: wait wtf Posts: 853 |

The first thing that wrecks it is the sheer number of people who do H4H. There's so many that for Mm to keep track of each one, as well as punish said person would take a lot of work on their part. Also, the 3 strike system would require some sort of database that they'd have to maintain as well. So for now, just don't play them and make sure your friends don't either (by asking them to help out the community by not playing levels that give away supposed "Free DLC" and H4H levels in general). :] I'm all for stopping H4H, but there's no true practical solution that I can think of other than having the cool pages block off any level that includes "H4H" in the title or description. | 2011-01-31 01:38:00 Author: AeroForce22 Posts: 392 |
I, personally, don't see the problem with these levels or a point in stopping them. If you find one you just simply ignore it. And as said before, Mm would have to spend most of their time that they usually spend creating the game, deleting levels that people decide to care about. Plus, there is no rule about H4H or free DLC levels. | 2011-01-31 01:49:00 Author: Retro Posts: 104 |
Meh... in theory it's good but ehhh idk Maybe put H4H in a catagory of their own so spam stops in most places? idk | 2011-01-31 01:54:00 Author: Fang Posts: 578 |
Or we could try something moderately intelligent: 1. Patch game to not offer rewards for getting hearts, plays. Make all trophies story-related. 2. There's no need for a second step. Herp-a-derp, problem solved. Mm can send me my check now. But hey, banning someone because they do something you don't like is much more fun, right? | 2011-01-31 02:04:00 Author: Voltergeist Posts: 1702 |
Give them all a delicious piece of cake, tell them it's a lie, and eat it in front of them> that'll teach em! | 2011-01-31 02:13:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |

So true, I thought that after all that had happened in LBP1, they would've learned to get rid of these, ah well, at least they somehwat tried. | 2011-01-31 02:42:00 Author: Merc Posts: 2135 |
Give them all a delicious piece of cake, tell them it's a lie, and eat it in front of them> that'll teach em! That's just cruel. Banning me is one thing, but not giving me any cake? D: NOT NICE! | 2011-01-31 02:44:00 Author: Voltergeist Posts: 1702 |
Eh, I'd gladly monitor and ban H4Hers all day if MM paid me! Or gave me some sort of reward. The thing is, once the main flood of H4Hers is subdued, there will probably be a lot less H4H levels popping up at once, and it won't be as much work. It's basically like taking over a huge city and then monitoring it after the main attack to eliminate any rebels that pop up. EDIT: Wow, that analogy sounds worse now than when I posted it. | 2011-01-31 17:31:00 Author: EliminatorZigma Posts: 173 |

I haven't had a problem with H4H levels. The cool pages are waaay cleaner and easier to skip any that show up on it. And it seems like there are way fewer of them, as well. | 2011-02-01 06:01:00 Author: Yofig Posts: 288 |
