A Quick Problem

Archive: 8 posts

As part of my level i'll be having a mini puzzle which involves a 9 x 9 grid of squares which each needs to be moved around to unlock a certain door. Ive sorted out a little menu type system which highlights the squares that will be selected but now my problem is actually getting the square to move only when the certain box is highlighted on the grid. Any Ideas anyone?2011-01-30 20:54:00

Okay on the left i have the cubes that need moving etc. Along with a menu type thing for the selection process. the top microchip will make the green holo light up when X is pressed, and the lower microchip will make blue holo light up when the left stick is moved. Ive attached the right stick to a advanced mover which is on the cube it moves fine, this is also connected to the same output of the green holo lighting up. But, once the cube is moved, it can only be activated again from where it used to be, I need a way for them to move on selection, if any of that makes any sense at all :|

Since each square only has one direction it can use, use four tag sensors in each direction to check if there's a square there. If there isn't, activate the appropriate mover to move it there. That should work.2011-01-30 21:27:00

How would I go about using the tag sensors? That didn't really make sense to me :S2011-01-30 21:37:00

They're the same things as the magnetic key switches in LBP1.2011-01-30 21:53:00

-______________- I wasn't a creator on LBP1, so I know nothing about the logic from them, Ive figured If i have 4 tag sensors on the corners of each grid section I can put a tag on each cube, but then i can't think of a way to get the cube to move into the empty square?2011-01-30 22:02:00
