...about how Holo material works with impact sensors. I understand Holo has no physical properties, but having to set all my impact sensors to include touching is making things very complicated for me, because now they're sensing things they aren't supposed to. I don't see why they couldn't have made the sensors detect Holo normally for the purpose of triggering the switch...2011-01-30 20:03:00

i thought they could? ive never had a problem with holo and impact sensors, maybe if you tagged everything it would work?2011-01-30 20:08:00

Include touching: yes
Requires tag: yes

That should resolve the issue

Not at all.

The problem I'm having is that impact sensors won't detect Holo when not set to detect touching. Everything is tagged.

Let me try to explain the setup. I have a series of "bits" made of Holo, tagged as appropriate. These "bits" are attached to a thin layer of invisible Holo to keep them positioned relative to each other. If the sensor is set to NOT detect touching, the "bits" don't activate the sensor. If it IS set to detect touching, the bits AND the thin invisible layer activate the switch, which is unacceptable for what I'm trying to do..

I had some trouble with sensors, so I just took them off deleted them and got new ones, went a lot smoother! I am a noob creator in LBP, so it might have been me!2011-01-30 22:04:00

I had a similar problem. Out of laziness, I unglued them and then bolted them on, so the game wasn't treating them like a single object.2011-01-31 07:59:00

Yeah, so do what I said and set "includes all connections" to "no".

Don't you have to plasmify the Holo Material in order to give it some substance?2011-01-31 12:02:00

I appreciate you trying to help, but I don't think you're getting the problem I was having, because what you're saying is not at all what needed to happen (especially the above). Could be my fault for not explaining the problem better. Regardless, I wasn't looking for help (this isn't in the help section, right?) I was just pointing out something that was ticking me off at the time, which I have since fixed and moved on, but thanks for trying.
