I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about. It's one of those high rated levels picked out by MM and I have a question about it. That lighting effect, with the planet slowing moving away from the big sun (star?); How did Johnee do that?! I've been spending hours trying to mimic it just because I think it is sooooo awesome . If ANYONE has any idea or, better, knows how to do this trick, please do tell Thanks

It looks like a big light moving reeeeaaaallly slowly, with a high depth of field (or should that be low?) to create the blur effect.

I have not seen the level you are referring to yet but new the LED light has a nice feature. You can set it to not show in play mode but still have the light emit. meaning you can have lights and logic smack dab in the middle of the playing area but only the light can be seen and not the light bulb. I think with this option along with logic you can produce many great lighting effects.

well he might have used the bg layers (i have heaerd talk of this) but i dooubt it. one way of doing it would be to use a movie camera, and turn the depth of field down (or is it up?) this will make the back of the level slowly fade out, and you can make it focus on just the front layer if you want
