Blending Layers
Archive: 5 posts
I've got a part in my level where one of my machines comes up through the ground via the middle layer. All around the machine I have 3 layers but when it gets to the top I need to make a gap in the middle layer for the machine to come up. I was wondering if there was any way to just delete one layer as now you can clearly see the join where I've made the front and back layers join to the surrounding area with all three layers. Basically I want a way to combine the front and back layers with the 3 surrounding layers so the material doesn't look joined, just continuous. Well, if I'm understanding what you want correctly, if nothing moving is in the front thin layer, try putting a thin layer in the front over everything having it overlap the seams/gaps. | 2011-01-30 00:13:00 Author: Jgr9 ![]() Posts: 56 |

Yeh I was thinking of doing that but I would have to do virtually the whole level like that if that's the only way | 2011-01-30 00:19:00 Author: idontknow92 ![]() Posts: 29 |
Well, to be honest, I'd have to say, don't be so picky about the seams. ![]() Is your entire level 1 material? | 2011-01-30 01:00:00 Author: Jgr9 ![]() Posts: 56 |
