Finally, Cosmic Defender, a unique strategy/action shooter, is complete! You'll use a variety of weapons to quell an alien threat in an attempt to protect your bases from harm. Utilizing many of LittleBigPlanet 2's new features, this sci-fi shooter only begins to showcase the power of LittleBigPlanet 2!

Features:

- An action shooter with survival/strategy themes.

- A tutorial is included to take you through all the rules and controls of the game.

- A music selector.

- Uses the controlinator to control 4 different types of weapons and mechanisms.

- Uses sackbots that are programmed to attack your bases while you try to defend them.

- Mixes the playstyles of a fully rotational top down shooter with the features of a real-time strategy game.

- Features a Heads Up Display, (HUD) to keep all important info in one place.

Come play this challenging game today and see how high you can score!

(Designed for single-player play, glitches will occur with parties or 2 or more) (Due to the type of the game, please provide any kind of constructive feedback in a review on the game detailing any suggestions for balancing, glitches, and other relative issues. I will do my best to update the game with the appropriate changes as they are brought to my attention.)

Queued will leave some feedback after playing, would you try my level and leave some feedback? Link in the sig

Pretty fun level, i would have preferred a joystick rotator instead of an advanced rotator on the gun.
Maybe you could hake it an option from your menu?
Overall i liked it. You should add the controls at the bottom of the screen, by putting them into the controlinator,
Good job

While this level seemed a little complex and confusing to me at first, it really grew on me as I played it. It's a really fun and unique idea and there's nothing like it that I've seen on LBP. My biggest complaint was that since you used the right stick to aim and X to shoot, you couldn't really aim and shoot at the same time. Of course, you used pretty much every button in the level, so you may not be able to do anything about that. It would also be nice to have the controls on the bottom of the screen like the above poster said, because there were a lot of things to remember. Great level though! I gave it a happy face and a heart. If you get a chance, can you give me some feedback on my level, Beat Factory? It's in my sig. Thanks! 2011-01-30 04:36:00

I've played through this level, here's what I thought:

Menu: 4.5/5
- Very well done! One of the best menus I have seen yet! I would add D-pad support though. Also, I would have a "set" music playing at the beginning. People who want to play again will overlook the music option and they'll be left with a very silent takeover of their city.

Tutorial: 3/5
- I think you explained things very well. The one thing that I had a problem with is that it is VERY long. I would make it shorter or make it skippable.

Gameplay: 4/5
- After sitting for 5 minutes, waiting for the tutorial to end, I finally got to play. It was very fun. Definitely a fantastic strategy game. However, I felt the laser at the top was a little shaky and it was difficult to aim. Also... I think you might have accidentally called the right turrets, left, and the left turrets, right. But in all, it was a very enjoyable game.

Scenery: 2/5
- I feel this could use some work. I felt that it was lacking a theme. When I looked at the background, all I saw was a few materials in the shape of buildings.

Sound: 4/5
- Great job on giving the option to choose your own music. I think the sound effects were good as well.

Overall, I really enjoyed this level. I'm giving it a . If you have the time, check out the level in my sig. Thanks.

Thanks so much guys for the awesome feedback. Be sure to check your boards, I've sent everyone who posted a level feedback as well

Just wanted to say, Cosmic Defender has undergone an update that has given the game all the suggestions thus far. The game now contains a theme, extra scenery, controls to the HUD, music on the menu, and some balance corrections to the weapons and difficulty.

Thanks for the feedback of "Tilt, Roll, and Drop". It certainly is a fun shooter game.

VISUALS:
The visuals are decent. Try adding more decorations that fits in this level.

SOUND:
Great choice of musics and good use of sound effects.

GAMEPLAY:
The survival challenge of this level is pretty good. The button usages work and I liked the idea of dropping the gate to guard the walls. The cameras could use more work though, especially the tutorial video.

OVERALL:
The game could use more camera work, but good job on this level. A yeah vote and a positive review.
