Apologies if this has been said before, search functions scare me. It seems that on both LBPs everyone feels the need to copy other games, movies or just each other. We've all seen the countless Mario levels and, at the moment, the direct copying and pasting of super hero levels. They're not bad, but in my view people should be looking to create something individual and unique instead of just copying each other's ideas. Any thoughts? (:

Well the problem isn't that people are copying others directly, it's just that the source material is similar. Movies are everywhere, but that's mostly because it was so impossibly difficult to to do in LBP1. Sackbots allow you to make all sorts of superheros that regular sack people can't do, while Mario.. well that's Mario, who doesn't like to do their own take on that? There is plenty of creative and individual stuff out there, more than you know what to do with if you look through the LBPC spotlights. Just gotta get out and search beyond those cool pages to find them. Pay attention to those project threads too, their loaded with crazy ideas people are working on.

I like to play Mario, Spiderman, etc. with my sackboy, it's like visiting a different world (if they're done well), but these ideas are definitely overdone!

2 reasons: 1. It's hard to create something unique and good in same time 2. People like to make remakes because they get more attention then normal levels and trying to proof that LBP can do anything

What's happening there is normal. Sometimes we wrongly think that anybody and everybody can create... this is false. Most people that play LBP2 will create stuff but it won't be good, original or unique. It's perfectly understandable because just like with any other type of creation, it's not everybody that can do it and it's perfectly normal.
