Most Destructive Weaponry in LBP2
Archive: 12 posts
Hey, I've discovered the most destructive weapon creatable in lbp2. It will destroy anything it is thrown at and everything that object is attached to. It is the Sticky Bomb. It's not a bomb from MM with a timer and stickiness. It is a lethal material destroying object. What you need to do to make it is: Get a ball of any material except floaty, dark matter, light matter and holographic and attach a microchip to it. On the microchip put a timer set to 10 seconds and connect it's output to a destroyer set to destroy rigid connections, set the visual effects to your choosing. Now put a Material Tweaker onto the circuit board and tweak it to make the material indestructable and sticky. Save this object and set an emitter to fire it. Its lifetime should be infinite and about 30 emitted at once. Let me now tell you what this does. The emitter fires the object. The first thing the material touches it instantly glues itself to (thanks to the stickiness). After 10 seconds it destroys itself and EVERYTHING IT'S GLUED TO. This is perfect for PVP war with vehicles in create mode. Muahahahaha. I have released it into the world. CHAOS WILL COMMENCE!! Someone already made a nuke that destroys the entire level. | 2011-01-29 22:19:00 Author: Bremnen Posts: 1800 |
Just so you know, it takes 1 second to stick, making it valid to destroy stuff. Any less would make it ineffective. Trust me. I've done it. Oh, and putting an impact sensor attached to a counter set at one, and attaching it to the timer can probably make it a better projectile. | 2011-01-29 22:28:00 Author: Fang Posts: 578 |
I posted this in the beta forum a while back. In my experiments, it works at 0.6 seconds, but not 0.5, so 0.6 or higher is fine. | 2011-01-29 23:12:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
this is exactly what im doing atm, but i want the object i shoot to be somewhat like holographic material in a way that it can be fired even from inside an object, but still sticks. Anyone know how to make a material that sticks but yet can pass through other objects? | 2011-03-13 17:57:00 Author: Cykelpumpen Posts: 62 |
Just an idea, but you could TRY making it out of holo, then have a tag turn a follower on. The follower needs to require a tag, and the tag is on the microchip. Set it to the max speed, and it should stabilize itself. The impact sensor then needs to be set to include touching. Lastly, Have an impact sensor connect to the counter, which is in turn connected to the stabilizer(follower) and timer. | 2011-03-13 18:48:00 Author: Green-Tomato Posts: 140 |
Didn't destroy anything except the bomb for me..... EDIT: NVM, the lifetime was set to ten as well as the timer. It also didn't help that the same destroy effect was used | 2011-03-13 19:08:00 Author: Green-Tomato Posts: 140 |
i made a similiar one with an impact connected to a timer, which was connected to a rigid connection destroyer, It destroyed everything. | 2011-03-13 19:11:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
I, uh, accidentally made one while I was working on creating an emittable remote bomb that sticks to terrain (but doesn't destroy whatever it sticks to). Since then, I've decided to consider such a weapon to be so destructive that if I ever wanted to make usage of it (and I probably will for my project), then I'd have to be REALLY careful with it, as it could destroy entire levels if they were designed improperly. As long as my objects are made to be non-stick, then they'd be fine so long as they're not glued to anything that isn't non-stick. | 2011-03-13 21:54:00 Author: Shadow Wolf TJC Posts: 72 |

Anyone know how to make a material that sticks but yet can pass through other objects? This is possible, even though Zephir says it isn't. Simply emit a piece of hologram, it will become dynamic. I actually made a creatinator gun that shoots electrified hologram. | 2011-03-14 21:09:00 Author: kvbkvb Posts: 63 |
Hologram is not like light and dark matter, it is like floaty pink : if you put a material tweaker that makes you grab it, you notice you can move it around. I guess the glued bomb thing was used for the cakeinator | 2011-03-15 01:31:00 Author: Unknown User |

I guess the glued bomb thing was used for the cakeinator Nice observation! The Cakeinator had a sticky setting, and was set to a maximum of one at a time. Worked amazing, considering how simple it is. Here's an idea, (I'm gonna make it, feel free to use it yourself) a STICKY BOMB survival. Of course, it would be a lot harder if they stuck to players -.- | 2011-03-16 03:30:00 Author: kvbkvb Posts: 63 |
