Sequencer Help

Archive: 6 posts

I'm trying to make a Rock Band Unplugged game, but I can't seem to sync the note to the audio for a fast part of the song.
The sequencer isn't fast enough to do it. I've seen other levels do it. Thanks!

Theres a option that lets you edit how much time you want the glowing bar to spend on each section.2011-01-29 21:09:00

Do you mean BPM? I have it set for the highest number and still can't get the notes to go fast enough to sync to the music.2011-01-29 21:28:00

The only way to get what you're looking for is probably to use a "normal" sequencer that you start at the same time as the "music" sequencer. This is a little more time consuming than it should be, but it works.

A little more detail that may either help or confuse you:

Music Sequencer -
1) The music sequencer speed is set by BPM (beats per minute). The default is 120 bpm, which is two beats per second.
2) I believe there are 16 beats per stripe in the music sequencer. So, each stripe is 8 seconds long. (16 beats divided by 2 beats per second).

Normal Sequencer -
1) The "normal" sequencer speed is set by seconds per stripe.
2) Set the "normal" sequencer to 8 seconds per stripe and you'll sync up exactly with the "music sequencer. (But that doesn't help much...)
3) Set the "normal" sequencer to 4 seconds per stripe and it will go twice as fast as the music sequencer! (That may be good enough for you).
4) If that's not good enough, try 2 seconds per stripe (4 times faster!)
