I'm asking this because the quality of the old PS2 headset I have and use is pretty bad. I've tried plugging both my Rock Band mic and a USB Logitech mic that records crystal clear, but the game doesn't seem to pick them up, or I'm doing something wrong.

Make sure you go to your audio device settings on your XMB and select what you want to use to record. I used the microphone on my Playstation Eye.
