"Swallowing my Sackboy is probably the worst mistake that this ogre will ever make. The level certainly lives upto its title of "Trouble Within". I definitely felt like this body was alive due to the excellent use of animated textures and moving parts, plus the helpful sidekick that is discovered was a nice surprise. Looking forward to part 2... Well kind of, doesn't take a doctor to know what's coming as I head further down the ogre's body..."

The best community level I've played so far. The story, detail and clever use of sackbot AI is brilliant. Hard to believe this is just your first level. Looking foward to part 2!

Nice atmospheric level. Ive always liked the premise of going through the body and you have done it really well. Loved the guy with the lard gun as well!

Played your level today!

I was very impressed by what I found. It's evident that you put much work into the level. The environment is very clever and fits perfectly with your theme. I can see this easily being picked by MM. I have just a few suggestions for ya that I made note of while playing that I think would benefit you.

-- I think it would be interesting if there were a cutscene at the beginning showing your character and the Ogre. It would make the story much more complete.

-- I accidentally triggered the cutscenes repeatedly when I seemed to have walked by the sensor (Intro to L.A.R.D. system) Maybe try moving the sensors away from checkpoints / smaller radius or skippable altogether?

-- The boss scene was great! The only 'hiccup' I found was near the checkpoint. I'm not sure if it was intended or not (The camera angle is far from the player, hard to tell if what I found was intended) but I mysteriously died 2-3 times just standing next to the checkpoint. My character would fall into the gassy liquid. Again, not sure if that was intended.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one. Great humor, intricate environment, amazing boss fight. - Hearted!!

On a side note, if you ever have the time to try out my own level, I'd greatly appreciate it. Any and all types of reviews are welcome.
If you're interested, Info is in the signature, thanks!!!

Yofig i saw from the game review that you got stuck by a glitch involving some rocks?? are you able to pinpoint where abouts that roughly happened for me so that i can do some tests???

I wish i could change this thread to a F4F thread because i am quite willing to queue and give feedback to a few levels.

I have one question for you! How do you not have a million hearts and plays on this level yet? This is amazing, the detail was just great the gameplay was unique the story was funny, I don't think I have enough room for all the positive things I have to say about this level. It deserves an MM pick easily. This is exactly what makes me play Little Big Planet, levels like these. You should be proud and I hope you keep making levels. Amazing job! I also secretly love you now.

GL0cK10
Great job! One of the best platformers I've played so far! Amazing atmosphere inside the ogre!! Needs Multiplayer support, a few more strategically placed spawns and/or skippable cutscenes.

this is pretty cool but the subtitles disappear way too fast, and when you die the cinematic restarts itself everytime change. this and I would gladly play your lvl after it is fixed
Darkness Strikes Intro
By InfinitiMinded
(1-2 players) The beginning to Darkness Strikes. Reading is very imortant in this game, so if you dont read the dialogue then don't dislike it. if you do dislike it, comment about the problem and the problem will be sacked ...yea. Warning people who have a history with seizures may have a problem with the strobe lights.

valuable info as i thought i had sorted that issue. Is it the cinematic involving the sidekick you meet by the heart? or one before that?2011-02-09 20:20:00

I loved the level. I had some framerate issues with the boss fight and in the left lung the camera sensors didn't disappear from the white grabby stuff. Great job on everything else though!2011-02-09 20:48:00

yeah i think im gonna have to removed the wind effect i used on the boss in order to improve framerate and if i take away the depth of field on the camera in the left lung that should solve that too!
just a quick question if anyone could help answer it would be great - If i edit my level now (more than a week after it has been published) and reupload it from my moon will i lose all the views, comments and reviews i have on it? or will it just state it has been modified?

Pros: Beautiful level sack chum! The visuals really immerse you in the world you created. Clever use of body parts (lungs, fat) to piece together game play that A) makes sense to the story, and B) is fun and unique. I enjoyed it very much.

Cons: There was a bit of frame rate issue through the level but especially at the boss fight. The boss fight was really well done and well designed in many ways but the slow frame rate killed the excitement for me as I waited patiently, grappling in slow motion to get to the brain spots at the top. I can tell you had a vision for that boss fight and you sure pulled it off with out a doubt but there might be some things you could take away with out players noticing at all. One last thing was that after sliding down a wet, gross slide before the boss I came to a spot where I couldn't figure out how to proceed. I figured out that I could grab the back ground and get down. I'm not sure if I was supposed to slide up and down or if I should climb like I eventually did.

Conclusion: I pride my self on attention to detail as I can tell you do from your level. I noticed little things during the level that others might miss. One of the downers about LBP for me is that sometimes you simply can't pack every thing you want into a level and still get good frame rate. I'm sure if you trimmed a few things here and there you could still get the same experience playing with out the frame rate suffering. I really enjoyed your level and it's clear that you are a graphic designer as your bio says because you enjoy making a good level. I look forward to your future levels chum!

If you fancy returning some constructive criticism I would be delighted: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=48580-RUN!-different-every-time-!

The frame rate issue seems to be the main one...
i am going to edit the level again soon and remove some of the effects to improve this as well as make sure the cutscenes are "one shot" because currently there is a glitch the players have found which makes them play many times. I think a counter hooked up to the logic somewhere should do the trick. I still have a little bit of thermo free to fix and tweak things. Thanks for such a thorough review i will be looking at your levels as well
Expect a review at some point tomoz when i get a chance to play after work your level did interest me when it first appeared on the forum i will give it a closer inspection now!
Also can someone please answer my question in the post i made before this one in this thread i really need an answer
many thanks.

Ok lets get the bad stuff out of the way first. There are some... irritating cut scene problems. The scene where you meet the guy in the belly is set to repeat acting over and over and over again. You NEED to set it to one-shot, not repeat. Secondly "i" should be change to "I", leaving all your I's un-capitalized is very unprofessional. Also the hat guy died in a pit of gas at one point which I assume shouldn't happen. There was also the part with the white stuff you have to R1 on. One of the cells stayed and every time you click it, it repeats the same cut.

As for the good stuff, I loved the visual style of design you used. It was very well executed. It's apparent to me that you exceed in the design portion more so than the logic end of things which isn't bad but it can make game-play very inconvenient.

Overall a great job but could use some touching up. You got a smiley face out of me.

Cheers and good luck,

Besides what other people who have played this level have pointed out, I did not find many flaws! I thoroughly enjoyed this level; everything from gameplay down to the scenery was fantastic. You have definitely established yourself as true LBP creator. I can't wait to see more from you! This level received a rate up and a heart from me.

Edit: Played through your level a second time, and I had to comment on the dialogue. Very funny. You had me chuckling the whole time.

<3MAJOR UPDATE!!<3

Thanks to those who have reviewed my level since it was first published 2 weeks ago...
I have taken into account all the feedback i have recieved and now i present to you
TROUBLE WITHIN Version 1.1!!

New Fixes

All movie sequences will now only play once and can not be accidently reset to play again.
LARD cannon dude (who i call larry) is now a bit smarter and should not try and walk on gas
material tweakers have been added to make sure that the sides of the level are not grabbed by mistake when aiming for the pieces of grabbable material larry shoots
Frame rate has now been increased on the boss and should not lag as heavily
The checkpoint in the boss section now has no chance of glitching and sending you into the gas that surrounds it 3 or 4 times in a row
extra lighting has been added to dark areas of the level which helps improve navigation of the corridors
larry no longer finds it wise to jump between the two rollers and die he would rather help you pass them instead
the large slide now has a grabble section of fat at the bottom to provide players with an easier way down.

i hope all these fixes make the level a bit easier to play!
One thing i could not change was the fact the movies are not skippable. By making them skippable it resulted in major interactivity errors with larry and with the sackbots that were emitted for those scenes. It just could not be solved... sorry

Great level man, nice feel to it. I thought it was pretty easy to navigate, but anything is difficult if you levels are walk to the right and you're finished ^... Awesome use of 3D and very cool boss. Hope to be seeing more from you soon.2011-02-13 05:41:00

Superb...

I played this a few days ago and was mightily impressed by the Creators imagination as well as his ability to construct such a well rounded level!

The L.A.R.D cannon sackbot was inspired and the boss was standout as well.

I hope this level get the success it deserves. Great job Arastoph!

Played your level a few minutes ago and i have to say that it was pretty good. Design decoration, gameplay everything was good but theres is one bug i found.

The part where you use the grappling hook. At the first time i played your level, the plattform broke into pieces. I didn't do anything special just move it and bam plattform collapsed.

Gave it a , really liked it.

Is that the bit where you have to pull the platform towards you then hang underneath and pull it along? i will look into improving that bit if that is the case...that is the first time that has ever happened i think lol i will look into it.
Thanks for the feedback on this recently everyone all of it has helped mould this level into something acceptable and playable and in my eyes a vast improvement on my original project. THIS COMMUNITY RULES! lol

Here is a sneak peek at the next part of the series.. a rundown of the plot and a picture of an upcoming enemy.
"The second part is called "Trouble Within! - The Healing Wound" it involves your sackboy trying to escape the traditional way (via the intestine) however it proves to be impossible due to a rather unique enemy. Along the way you meet two new characters who tell you about another way to escape which turns out to be totally in the other direction!! The level then becomes a race against time to get to the new escape route before it heals up completley. Electrifying nerve cells, Viruses, twitching muscles bands and the terrifying antibodies will do what ever it takes to bring you down as you become a threat to the ogres immune system!
Here is a sneak peek as to what they look like..."

Update with some more reviews and information on the second part of the series.

*A really impressive level. Great art-style, interesting puzzles & platforming, and a very funny side-kick (I hope he appears again in more of your levels). The boss battle at the end was good fun too. My only constructive feedback would be that in places the frame-rate suffers slightly, and I think it'd enhance the experience if it could be a little smoother. Overall though, great!

*this left me breathless the boss and the lvl were top notch

*Excellent level! Great fun, better than story mode. Well done!

Can i have some feedback as to which of the following you would like to see in the second one from this list...

More Cinematics and storytelling than part one
The return of lard firing madman larry (the guy you meet in the first one)
a way to control the muscles and cells in the ogres body
more complex puzzles involving sackbots
another mini boss
lighter environment with larger areas to explore
Harder challenges or a change from the current level of difficulty

any info you can give on any of those topics would really help!!
thanks!<3

Yaaay, a level playing in an organism!
I liked the visuals, I liked the gameplay.

Especially the part with the sackbot.
Sometimes the design was so overflowing that I didn't know where to go.
And I don't like the huge amount of speechbubbles, as funny as it seems to be. But when the sackbot explains everything he does, it gets somehow annoying.
Also the notes at the first part were senseless. I knew what I had to do. Thought it ruins the atmosphere.

Overall it was awesome. Gave it a 'Yay' and hope you keep it up!

Your skills as a graphic designer really show through in this creative level. Throughout the level the environment was dynamic, with moving objects and excellent use of animated textures. It had the atmosphere of a living body. I enjoyed the gravity effect, it was very well done.

I did find the lungs a little dark. The boss fight was fun, however I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do when they kept reappearing.

The level was very well done, I still can't believe this is your first.

When you have a chance, please give "Fire & Ice" a try.
