Why do we need a battery if we have counter?
Archive: 5 posts
Why do we need a battery in the instruments, it is simple permanent switch, but it can be easily replaced with counter. All of its functions can perform a counter tuned to 1 count And the counter has inputs for receiving the signal and reset state, and the battery does not have anything except exit. So why we have battery? Or I don't know something for what battery is irreplaceable? Please explain me! | 2011-01-29 10:45:00 Author: Domik12 Posts: 838 |
Batteries can help to adjust the rate at which timers advance, allowing you to produce a damage bar that can receive different amounts of damage by adjusting the % signal strength of the battery (without a battery, every hit would produce the same amount of damage). They're also neater than counters when you just want a power source. | 2011-01-29 10:58:00 Author: SSTAGG1 Posts: 1136 |
Batteries let you have anything from -100% to + 100% output, which lets you do advanced math by combining their outputs or something. | 2011-01-29 19:56:00 Author: Giant Cheeseburger Posts: 9 |
They are also handy on a sequencer to trigger stuff on and off. | 2011-01-29 20:00:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
What's the point of having any logic? You can make it all with physical means(and in most cases, other logic). It's just simpler. | 2011-01-29 23:48:00 Author: Unknown User |
