I'm Interested in Someone Recreating Blast Corps in LBP2!

Blast Corps was one of my favourite Nintendo 64 games and it has quite a cult following even today.

For those of you who don't remember or have not played this game... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blast_Corps

The Wikipedia article describes it pretty well.

The basic idea of the LBP2 recreation would see a top down driving game with multiple vehicles that are used to destroy buildings and obstacles to clear a set path for a computer controlled vehicle to safely navigate. If the player fails to clear a path, they lose and the game ends. The game would end in victory when the player successfully clears the path and the vehicle reaches it's destination. Extra points are earned by destroying more buildings necessary, more of which can be destroyed if you clear the path more quickly so that you can focus on extra points in the time that the vehicle is driving to it's objective.

I would love to be involved in a project like this, but I don't think I could tackle it on my own. I am currently working on realistic driving physics which would be very useful for many of the multiple vehicles this game would offer. The basic game design would require many building assets and landscapes along with some neato impact detection logic and point distribution. The game would most likely be single player and could span multiple levels...

One thing I will point out that is kind of funny:

The level selection screen of Blast Corps is SO similar to LBP!!

Anybody else into this at all?
