Logistic Creators Wanted!

I'm working on a versus level and am stuck on some complicated logic. I need some professional creators to help me out. I want the level to feature a full title screen where you can select from 4 different arenas to play in. And when you select the arenas and press play, the game starts with all 4 players and ends when one of the players reaches a score limit. Then the players are teleported back to the title screen. The title screen will also feature an "Exit" option that will teleport you to the scoreboard. Does anybody here know how to do that easily? I've got the actual gameplay logic down... but I'm having the most difficulty with teleporting from one place to the other when I want them to. If anybody thinks they can do this, please add me to your PSN friends and request to join. PSN: Nick930930 | 2011-01-28 19:49:00 Author: Nick930930 Posts: 878 |
Well, the arena select is actually pretty easy. Just when you choose the arena (a switch) have it activate the spawn in the arena you want to go to and gave gas fill the lobby and kill everyone. Same thing with the exit option. Not sure with the counter, but possibly using sackbots would be the answer to that. | 2011-01-28 19:54:00 Author: RSQViper Posts: 302 |
Here's what I've done already. I created a button that goes through an or switch that then goes to a toggle switch that activates the Randomizer for the 4 spawns in the arena. So now if the player dies, they will respawn in the arena. Now I have a point sensor so that the first player to reach 1000 points ends the game, and a giant red X appears that causes all remaining vehicles in the arena to explode. The point sensor switch is also connected to that or switch which will toggle OFF the randomizer, and switch it instead back to the checkpoint where the original button was. Sounds like that should work right? When I actually do reach the 1000 points, the respawn doesnt change for some reason. Players are still respawning in the arena. And since the giant red X has appeared because of the 1000 points, players aren't even getting vehicles, they just fall to their death over and over again. I tried using a counter that is activated after a player reaches 1000 points and then resets instantly, but now the red X doesn't appear, and the spawns STILL don't change. If anybody understands what I just said, then I'd be glad to have you come in here and help me out haha. | 2011-01-28 20:00:00 Author: Nick930930 Posts: 878 |
By professional do you mean you'll pay me? | 2011-01-28 21:49:00 Author: RoharDragontamer Posts: 397 |
...no... lol. Unless Media Molecule pays us for publishing the level, then of course you'd get a cut haha. But something tells me they'd rather not pay us for a creation in their game | 2011-01-28 22:04:00 Author: Nick930930 Posts: 878 |
Do you have any logic connected to the spawns in the original area? Once the randomizer switches off, there needs to be some kind of logic triggering the spawn points back at the first place otherwise whichever spawn point was active last when the randomizer was toggled back off will be the active spawn point. You'll need some kind of trigger mechanism from the original feed that triggers the randomizer to activate when the randomizer switches off... let me think about it... No, hang on, simply use the score sensor switch output back into the original spawn point. That way as it turns off the randomizer it will also re-activate the original spawn point. That 'should' work. I can't test at the mo, but it seems pretty straight forward to me. I might have it totally up the wrong side of my head though hah, try it out and tell me how it goes. Also what sort of setup have you made to get this 'red X' to appear? and how does it destroy the remaining vehicles? I'm not sure why you would use a counter set to reset immediately thats triggered by the score counter, I don't understand what you would be using it for, and i seriously don't understand how that would stop the red X from appearing. Try and explain your logic network more clearly, i may be able to help you out more if i can tell whats going on better. | 2011-01-29 11:06:00 Author: Epicurean Dreamer Posts: 224 |
