How can I make a basic cutscene?

How do I set up a link of magic mouths while keeping the same camera angle it hard pans over to and make it so once you've read one another one instantly pops up at the same camera angle and once all are read or canceled the camera goes back to the player?2011-01-28 15:41:00

Set up a camera... and do the normal stuff. Then make an and switch. Wire up one NOT gate to the and switch. The and switch controls the (movie?) camera. Hook up the other input to a player sensor. Place all your magic mouths, and create an and gate with the necessary number of inputs needed. Hook up each magic mouth (doesn't have to be in sequence), to the and gate. Wire the and gate to the NOT gate, as well as wiring the and gate to a game camera.

This should work - can't test it out yet since I have exams.

Use a separate movie camera, not the camera in the magic mouth settings. Also, you may want to look into the Sequencer logic object; it will allow you to create a 'script' for your movie: set all cameras and mouths (and other actions) on the sequencer timeline. If the mouths won't stick to the sequencer (haven't played around with it much yet), use Batteries from the logic tools instead and wire the batteries to the mouths in your level.2011-01-28 15:57:00
