I've seen this in the story mode so I know it's possible. I want the player to wear the grabinator and be able to carry a rock from layer to layer. Just now the rock is on the middle layer, and while holding it I can't jump to either of the others. I can't see any settings in the material tweaker either. (Used the material tweaker to make the rock grab-able)

move an object from layer to layer while holding it I can't jump to either of the others could u clarify? ur making some jibberjabber but lets say u are using(controlling) a sackbot to do this level u have a recieve control on the sackbot, the transmit control on some other place u would have the same recieve on the rock but only activate when it's grabbed(grab sensor) then on the rock's controllinator, put a direction splitter that is connected to an up/down analog stick connect the direction split output to a layer changer OR u could just use a gameplay sequencer and have the rock move automatically once u grab it

Here's the thing, though. I've noticed that you cannot change layers once the item you are holding gets too big (or heavy). So if this rock is really giant, that's the problem. Try shrinking it down. Otherwise, all you have to do is while using the grabbibnator and holding the item, press left stick up or down to change layer.

doesnt the left stick just change the length of the grab wire? He's not talking about a grab wire. I believe he's just asking how to use the grabbinator to pick things up and walk around with them. He's having difficulty going from back, middle, front layer.-

Thanks guys, sorry I didn't clearly explain the issue. RSQViper was right though - the rock was just too large. Toned it down a little and now I can jump from layer to layer. Thanks again.
