Sackbot's can't trigger checkpoints?

Archive: 4 posts

I have my sackboy hop in the Controlinator straight from the start. He follows the controlled Sackbot on a piece of invisible hologram.

Now, when the sackbot dies, I can't do anything else. The screen just stays where he last was. How can I make the Sackbot respawn at the last checkpoint?

I bet there's some simple solution to this...

Hook up a counter to count 1 place that in a microchip on your hologram, then put a tag on your sackbots chip, then hook a sensor switch with the corresponding tag colour on the hologram microchip, then set the counter to reset itself after the count of 1 and also to emit a new Sackbot at your desired spawn location, then if all goes well you should go whizzing back to the checkpoint and snap to your new Sackbot.2011-01-27 09:27:00

Thanks mate, just tried, but no luck.

I'm probably not wiring it up right, or something.

Edit: right, thanks mate. I managed to get it working. I've also made the sensor trigger the checkpoint when I'm in range, so I hope it spawn me at the last checkpoint I pass instead of the same one.

Maybe I'll need as many sensors as checkpoints each with a different label? This is totally confusing!

Yeah, you could do say a blue sensor, and change the tags name to, "checkpoint 1" "checkpoint 2" and so on, believe me it gets more understandable the more you do it ,2011-01-27 11:42:00
