Building a wheelchair
Archive: 8 posts
Trying to build a wheelchair - the thing about them is that the wheel is on the side and I can't seem to make one where the chair sits upright. Any ideas? | 2008-11-12 01:05:00 Author: mosdl Posts: 10 |
make the wheels paper thin use darkmatter for the chair just color it with stickers first so it stadns up....wait bad idea doing that will make your chair not move but use a light material and use two wheels, i think it is falling over because there is only one wheel on it, you need two so it can balence itself, most wheelchairs have a smaller wheel in the front and a larger one in back so just do that and there you go Cheers! | 2008-11-12 02:28:00 Author: RAINFIRE Posts: 1101 |
If you don't have that smaller wheel that Rainfire was talking about, I don't think its going to work, as you can't really set a center of gravity on an object. The only time you can have a one wheel object that doesn't topple over is if you build a creature and give it a creature wheel. That one has some special properties that can defy physics. Otherwise, you have to consider the fact that its a physics-based game, and if you can't do it in real life to some extent, then you probably can't do it in the game. On the other hand though, if you do use a creature wheel and put a protected brain on the bottom in the center, behind the wheel where the player can't see it, you can set the brain to "Follow". Then it will balance on the one wheel, and if your sackboy moves slightly right of center, it will move to the right. If the sackboy moves slightly left of center, it will move backwards. In the way, you can make it more interactive without using any switches. It won't look like a wheelchair without that smaller wheel though! | 2008-11-12 02:43:00 Author: Justin Hopewell Posts: 135 |
if you wanted to use a brain put the brain on the back of the wheel chair so it will follow you like some ghost weelchair like the dog does in the second Weddings level Cheers! | 2008-11-12 02:47:00 Author: RAINFIRE Posts: 1101 |
Don't wheelchairs have a pivoting wheel on the front? | 2008-11-12 13:40:00 Author: PinkyLaRue Posts: 36 |
