Fireball

I made this level not long after I got LBP2. I think it's a pretty solid level but it obviously has some issues. If there is a way to make sackbots indestructible I would love to hear it as the second half of the level is an escort mission and if the sackbot dies the whole level is stuffed. It's not very long but I've been working on it constantly for an entire week (hooray for holidays) seeing how this is F4F please leave me a link to your level thread and I'll give it a look and offer what advice I can.

Hey labmonkey, Just played the level. I really like the concept of the sackbot you have to rescue being the one who can get you through what would be impenetrable all by yourself. A team feel. I liked the dining hall MGS part especially the look and use of blue pixel material. I didn't have any problems with the sackbot dying when I played through. I have not seen any option on making sackbots invulnerable. Maybe have a invisible holo follow your sackbot around and emit a new sackbot on destruction of the first. Maybe make it have velocity upon creation so it would not just fall into the same fire that just killed him. Idk.

edit: a minor thing, and it may just be my personal taste, but seeing as how the gameplay includes a lot of layer changing for cover I found the camera a little flat. It wasnt always instantly clear what layer I was in.

(I am pretty darn sure there is a way to make a sack bot unkillable, I think it has something to a material tweaker set to indestructible or something, I'm not entirely sure, because as you will see in my level, I've been playing around with the DCS and the new logic tools, not the sackbots, but I am pretty sure there is a way to do it.... )

Einrobot: Thanks that's a pretty ingenious work around, I'll give it a shot. I'll stick some game cameras in as well for the tank fighting scenes.
