The A-Maze-ing Labyrinth!

Archive: 9 posts

Hey everyone this is my first level in LBP2 its a maze, if you hadn't already figured that out from the title
It plays in a top-down view and you need to figure out how to reach the end and find the treasure. There are hidden score bubbles throughout the different rooms. Let me know how you like it either on this site or in LBP2. I'm pretty happy how it turned and I'm thinking of making sequels if others are interested in it. Also feel free to suggest levels for me to play and I'll queue them up. Thanks!

Just played it, very unique level, very impressive.
The level looks very nice alot of detail.
No real suggestions, didnt find any flaws.

EDIT: Agree with Luke about the rotation.

About to try this. Will you try the level in my sig?

Not bad. My only suggestion is to map the rotation to the same stick you use while you move, that way, if you're moving somewhere you'll always be looking that way. It makes more sense to me than having the looking on the other switch...

Yes I defiantly think you should make more. It's an original idea, and you pulled it off very well 2011-01-28 13:43:00

It's obvious you took your time planning your maze. The limited field of view helps disorient the play which is fun. The only thing i would suggest is to make your dead ends the "longer". In a maze it forces the player to remember way more turns for a longer period of time. I found it easy to memorize the intersections. This is a very small criticism though since i thought your level was totally cool.

Please try out my 1st level, and feedback..thx

I think perhaps for your next maze you should add something in... Maybe like keys to open doors or something, Or some form of enemy that stalks around or something, I'm not sure, just something to make it a little less of 'just a maze' if you know what I mean?2011-01-28 16:12:00

I'm happy you guys like it so much!! Ya I was actually planning on doing either some type of key system or maybe have a few rooms with puzzles to solve to open the exit. I'll def be putting more time into the next to make it even better. Thanks Randos for the noticing the stuff I did I'll def make it more complex next time, just queued up your level. One other question I was thinking instead of a sequel first maybe make a prequel about how he found the location of the sacred ruby, not that its really some story heavy maze lol just thought it'd be cool.2011-01-28 17:02:00
