I just thought about this a little while ago. Seeing how you can copy a costume that's on a sack bot do you think people are giving free crown and beta vest costumes away? Do you guys think they should restrict it? or let it go?

you have to have the DLC. the crown appears in your store section as an item to unpack. if i sent you a crown bot, it can't be placed.

Yes it can, you place it, select it and then copy the costume from the options. I jsut got Crown, BugBlaster, and Paper Sackboy

Incidentally, you can't get the beta vest, you can only a shirt stickered to look like the beta vest. What did you mean the crown appears as an item to unpack?

Those are all fakes, imported from the beta. They'll be patched soon. Please, go put those back where you found them.. They are not fakes they are the real deal! And if they'll be patched soon just let him have the costumes until that day comes

And if they'll be patched soon just let him have the costumes until that day comes I haven't heard anything solid, but there was a rumor that Mm was planning on disabling the stolen crowns in an update. If you have the costume saved, it will probably just refuse to let you wear it, but if you have bots in a level wearing the crown, you may lose the ability to edit the level when the update comes out.

I haven't heard anything solid, but there was a rumor that Mm was planning on disabling the stolen crowns in an update. If you have the costume saved, it will probably just refuse to let you wear it, but if you have bots in a level wearing the crown, you may lose the ability to edit the level when the update comes out. Spaff posted a thread saying they are going to patch it on the workshop (http://forums.littlebigworkshop.com/t5/General-Discussion/Crown-Glitch/td-p/348524). I don't think he'd just post something like this and then say later they couldn't fix it But yeah I've been preaching to my friends telling them not to have their "stolen" DLC bots in their levels or else they might not be able to edit those levels again (I think there's not gonna be a flood of "Give me back my crown" levels but a flood of "MM glitched my level"). I think Spaff should post a topic similar to the Pod glitch on LBPC (and other fansites) but on making sure they don't have "illegal" rare DLC bots in their levels before 1.01 comes I remember they had somewhat of a patch when i was online creating with a friend in the beta. I rememeber i was going to place a captured sackbot of one wearing it in my friends level in online create, but it said he needed the "crown costume pack", it wasn't patched 100% because of the fact he was wearing an illegitimate crown when i was doing that. Sure hope they hurry with this patch. I know its only been 2 weeks (1 week for Spaffs post on the crown glitch) but it feels like I've been waiting twice as long. Oh well guess we keep waiting (maybe their making sure its foolproof)

If the patch prevents access to a level because of content that isn't owned the level can be fixed by deleting the game data and not updating until the hacked content is removed.

I don't think it will be patched, but maybe. Anyways even if you do use the sackbot crown, you still don't get the royalty pin.

Sweet! As much as I wanted some of those costume pieces I didn't want to condone the activity by playing those levels and collecting the prizes... at least I won't be the only one without them now. It was so tempting too, but I don't like to reap the benefits of things I didn't earn. If/When they patch it, good riddance.

This thread is getting repetitive. To sum up: use stolen crowns at your own risk, Spaff says they're going to patch it, you'll probably lose the ability to edit levels with stolen crown sackbots in them once you update. Locking now.
