This has been suggested before, and the usual answer is that its to expensive. They would have to pay someone to make the site, then they need to find enough people to actually use it.2011-01-26 05:21:00

It would be nice to have something design for a mobile layout. Zooming in on the iPhone can be tiresome.2011-01-26 19:25:00

I would like this too, it's always such a better experience on my iPhone when there's a mobile version. It can't be that hard, can it? Just make a mobile version of the forum maybe.2011-01-26 19:25:00

Only it isn't really expensive. The real problem is that it wouldn't have all the gizmos the regular site has... yet people just want the regular site. We used to have a mobile site. Got taken down when we upgraded to vbulletin 4.

I'm pretty sure that everyone who wants a mobile site just wants to be able to view the basics, CC. :kz:

... not really people are asking for something dead simple, like just text; and tons would use it.

CC's standards are just to high from what I have gathered.

Well CC's standards are what matter in this case - he'd be the one that had to make it work or pay to have it done. I'd question whether enough people would donate to cover it when using the website version works just fine on a smart phone. I load it up using Safari on my iphone and it runs perfectly, I can even moderate from it. So it would be money/time spent on something that wouldn't make it all that much easier to use. Just my opinion though.2011-01-26 21:13:00

It might work perfectly on your phone but its terrible on the DSI and my phone. The whole page doesnt even load on my DSI and everything goes mega slow on my phone.

The problem is, you say loads will use it, but if that's true and people need it, why is this thread still on page 1?

If this was getting a massive response with people screaming for a mobile version, CC might consider it. As it is only 1 or 2 people, however, there doesn't seem to be a large enough user base to make it worthwhile. Unless you can back up the claim that loads will use it, CC probably won't make one. You never know though, I guess.

I also use safari on the iPhone, I find it is quicker and more convenient, a few things like picture uploads and the such I still do with pc.

EDIT. I got a similar thread https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=42597-Mobile-or-app-versions
