Lighting one after another.

Archive: 7 posts

Hello, I have a problem which probably seems simple to those with creating experience.

I have 10 lights and I want each light to turn on for a few seconds in a row. So the first light turns on for 3 seconds then the next and so forth.

How would I go about doing that?

Right now I have a sequencer with a timer attached to each light but I'm not sure if that would work. A player sensor is connected to the sequencer so when the player sensor activates the lights should go off one by one.

Also since I don't want to make another thread.

Is it possible so that once all 10 lights on, it actives rockets and a destroyer?
I would greatly appreciate it for anyone who helps.

Use the sequencer, and put BATTERY objects into the sequencer instead of TIMERs. Wire the batteries into whichever light you want them to turn on.

If you wire the last battery also to the rockets and a destroyer, they'll go off at the same time as the last light.

EDIT: You can change the thread title by clicking edit -> go advanced.

Thanks so much. I'm going to try that.

Also instead of having the rockets and a destroyer go off at the same time as the last light, is it possible to go after the last light?

My level has a space shuttle. So the lights is for a countdown. So after the countdown I want the dark matter holding the shuttle in place to be destroyed and the rockets to go off to lift the rocket up to the next part of the level.

yes, just add one more battery after the one that lights up the last light and wire that to the rockets.2011-01-26 01:26:00

haha don't feel dumb! This happens to all of us. We go crazy thinking about how hard itll be to get around a certain problem, and then we make one leap and it turns out we were completely overthinking it.

For me, learning to use the NOT gate has revolutionized my designs.

Yeah, I'm new to everything. I have LBP1, I made a level to try stuff out to learn stuff but this level is going to be one that I put work into and publish so it's also a giant learning process.2011-01-26 02:12:00
