Good top-down controls?

I've tried to make several top-down antigrav levels. For example, hamster deathmatch.

I turn down the gravity to nothing, put a controlinator on the object I want to control, and I've tried several combinations of rotaters and movers linked to analog sticks, but the object I'm trying to control always drifts and spins with too much momentum.

How do I make something control more precisely and responsively?

You'll have to tweak the dampening on your anti-grav switch on the object to keep the drift down (usually 50% works - but depends on what your other settings are)

To keep the wacky spinning to a minimum you can put a gyroscope on the object and it will correct itself to rest at wherever that gyroscope is facing. Depending on how strong/speed you set it the faster (more violently) it self corrects.

You can also use a rocket rotater to have the object face the direction it's moving (use this if you want it to always face the direction the object is traveling)

Bottom line though is you have to experiment with the settings and speed to get the control you want. I don't know of an easier/faster way to do this.
