How do you make different rooms, like in "the lost"?

In the level "the lost", you can walk into a door way, press x, and go into a completely different room

You mean it loads into a different level? That is called a level link. Its under the level tools section with the checkpoints and such. You first have to build the level you want to warp to. You then publish it as a sub level (check it in level details) then you publish the level you want to warp from with the level link in it! Hope that helps

No, not a level link. Just a different room on the same level. Anybody who has played "the lost" will understand what i mean

I've played it. I presume he had all of these different rooms set up at completely different parts of the level, and a sackbot in each and every room. Then, when you hit 'x' at a certain door, you change to control the next sackbot, and the camera (presumably a movie camera due to the quick cut) changes to the next room.
