Automatic Hyperlinking to Images

Archive: 1 post

I have noticed that in signatures, when you attempt to add a hyperlink to an image, it is overridden by a hyperlink to the image itself. vBulletin doesn't have this built-in as far as I know, so it must be a module or something causing it. For example, when you do:

http://some-image.somedomain.blah/42.png (http://www.google.com/)

The hyperlink you provided is overridden by one that goes to the image itself, resulting in the following HTML output:

<a href="http://www.google.com/" target="_blank"><a href="http://some-image.somedomain.blah/42.png" rel="lytebox[746576]"><img src="http://some-image.somedomain.blah/42.png" style="max-width: 100%; max-height: 150px; cursor: pointer;" border="0" alt="" /></a></a>

As you can see, there is something that is generating an additional anchor element that is overriding the one that was already provided. Judging by the rel attribute, it appears to be caused by some sort of "lytebox". My assumption would be that this is supposed to be some sort of modal popup that displays the full-sized image on click, but this functionality seems to be missing.

EDIT:
It appears that there is another problem -- the image BBCode appears to be being parsed within the code tag. Now, that's obviously not right.
