"Jumping" from back layer to front layer
Archive: 4 posts
Hi guys, Been away for a while, but picked up LBP2 last week and I accidentally my entire weekend.... I'm making a 2D driving shooter similar to the game "spy hunter" or for those slightly older, perhaps "rock and roll racing"? (****, I'm showing my age!), I want to make it multi layered so I can have (for example) a river under the road, I know you can't make ramps as such, but I've seen levels where there are roads that are broken and a "jump pad" type item which moves the vehicle from the back layer to the "raised" front layer. Has anyone got an idea how to do this? | 2011-01-25 13:48:00 Author: Unknown User |
If you place the in/out movers on the car you're controlling (or all cars for that matter) and then link them to tag sensors for where you want to change levels I think that would work. You could even get some sweet things happening like slow motion jumps if you toy with gravity dampening, too. | 2011-01-25 14:29:00 Author: RSQViper Posts: 302 |
of course! I'm new at all this "mover" stuff, so I completely forgot about in/out movers... thank you! | 2011-01-25 14:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
If you run a Combiner to an In/Out Mover, you can then wire to the + side of the Combiner to move in one direction and to the - side of the Combiner to move the other direction. Magic. | 2011-01-25 14:34:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
