Lbp 2 has slightly ruined my LBP 1 level/s....

Archive: 9 posts

So i made some levels in LBP 1 but have noticed they are slightly ruined in Lbp2 .

Some of the stickers which i took myself using my ps cam look scewiff (like at a angle slightly.) so i try to click the sticker and re position it but it keeps putting it back at that scewiff angle. And also i notice alot of blue ish light coming in under some of the back layer floowing under the walls.

Any 1 encountered this kinda problem and have any idea how to combat it?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried editing from the LBP1 disc?

Unfortunately they are known problems in LBP2. Some of the stickers on side walls will go all goofy on certain materials. Usually ones with quite a bit of pattern to them like the Gekko armor. You might try using a different material at that spot.

Keep in mind it you tweak in LBP2 and republish, it is now an LBP2 level and taking up one of your 20 slots in LBP2.

If your level used a lot of lighting tricks and front/ back wall stickering, it will most likely be different on LBP2.

I for noe never really relied 'too much' on lights and worked on environment's lighting (Global lighting) alone, with fog tricks and such, so I have no problems and my levels in the work do seeem to be doing significally better, tbh.

So, yeah, lighs work differently, and stickers on the front/ back of walls/ objects now angle themselves all weirdly.

Wait for the patch before messing with them too much, and like people said earlier. Be sure you want to change them in LBP2. if anything, adjust what needs to be adjusted in LBP1 and see how it goes in LBP2. But wait for a patch, there are still some fixes on the way.

I have a bit of an issue, myself in my Dark Water chptr 1 level. The gas I use as the dark water (black gas) seems to spread a lot more in LBP2 so it makes it VERY difficult to gauge where it is and swim by it since LBP2 makes gas move so dang much. It also managed to break a sensor which I need to fix.

Any lethal objects that you made invisible with dark matter in LBP 1 is blatantly visible in LBP2. This completely ruined the look of my swords. My swords used to kill with fire but you could not see the fire. Now they look like a flaming pile of sticks. Major fail.2011-01-25 15:36:00

The physics are slightly different. In one of my levels I fling you around to hit a precise spot.

Needless to say, you no longer hit that spot.

Oh, no.... I need to check my towers level. I shoot you on a rocket and you land on the next tower.

I am overcome with fear.

It ruined the lights in the underwater section of Explosive Adventures (why are old-looking lanterns giving out a glow that wouldn't be out of place in a sci-fi movie?), and made two bits a heck of a lot harder.

Having said that, my other level, Geartown, looks much better.
