controlinator directional outputs?

Archive: 4 posts

i was wondering if there was a way to add specific output for each direction hit. For example, if i wanted to make it so that moving the left stick up would make me go up, and the left stick down would make me shoot, instead of up making me go up, and down making me go down. just so i can detect left right up or down inputs. My goal with this is to acheive a point where whenever i make a super sackbot, i wouldnt have to place according tags all over the level to make it work. An idea i had was to add a backboard as mr.foofles calls it to the back of my sackbot, but instead of only right and left, i could add it to right left up and down. But i tried that and the outcome was a lot messy. if the floor was to thin, the hologram material would go below it and it wouldnt detect the floor, so i tried making it smaller and smaller and at one point i couldnt quite control it anymore.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Every output from a splitter will be positive whether: you'll get a positive signal from the + end if a positive signal goes into the splitter and a positive signal from the - end if a negative signal goes in. But yeah, if you run a signal through two not gates, the result should be positive (a NOT gate subtracts whatever signal goes through it from 100%, so 100-(100-x)=x (note that when you subtrace x from 100, you're subtracting its absolute value, not its true value, so it'll be positive even if it was a negative signal to start).2011-01-25 07:54:00
