Creating a scrolling level with the sequencer.. HOW?

Archive: 6 posts

As seen in the level "Caterpillar Climb" in this youtube video.

I love the thought of being able to generate sections of track to be able to play a top down racer in. I searched online, this forum, and numerous others for more details on how to create a scrolling level using the sequencer. Ideally, I would love to be able to make something like SPY Hunter. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful!

Cheers <3

PS.. If anyone is looking to create or play story levels coop, I am always up for more LBP fans. Add me!

just to answer. its done by capturing each part of said race and emmiting it at certain points, the emmiter would be on the sequencer and would be sequentially created.2011-01-25 05:48:00

yes and make sure each piece of the track has anti gravity material tweaker or the entire track will fall upon emmiting

I've been trying to pull this off with emitters, but I always end up with gaps between my background panels no matter how much I adjust the frequency and velocity. What is the secret to making this work right? I've heard that you have to make them stack before they come into view, but I don't know a good way to do this where it stays consistent.2011-01-29 23:23:00
